[oann.com] Biden admin. claims only small percentage of public focused on migrant crisis
(admin) Be prepared for the spin and the propaganda from the MSM. They are going to do everything possible to upset the revolt against Biden:
"The Biden administration has continued to overlook the surge of illegal immigration at the southern border. While speaking as a guest on a podcast recently, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki expressed her frustrations over individuals who continually ask when Joe Biden is going to visit the border. She claimed most Americans are focused on fixing the economy and recovering while only a small percentage are worried about the migrant surge.

However, a poll conducted by Harvard University/Harris Insights and Analytics in February found that 55 percent of Americans are opposed to the Biden administration’s handling of the migrant crisis. This came after Biden used executive orders to rollback President Trump’s strong border policies.

The press secretary went on to claim the illegal immigration surge at the border is reoccurring and not a crisis. She said that immigration reform is rather a huge challenge the Biden administration was left with.

This is rapidly becoming a non-issue. In 2008, Congress passed the Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act, requiring special care and protections for children when they approach our borders alone. The bill, passed on unanimous consent, recognizes that immigrant children are children, first and foremost, and mandates protective procedures for unaccompanied children, given the high risk that they will be subject to exploitation, trafficking, or violence.

The Trump Administration sought to strip those protections from children, including access to legal services and a fair day in court, in order to expel or deport children as quickly as possible. They failed to enforce large portions of the law. As a result, their was a large build up contingent of unaccompanied minors at the border. When the Biden Administration took over they began executing the law as written by Congress and not sending minor children back across the border. As a result there was a large surge of unaccompanied minors crossing the border. Trying to process those minors overburdened the system. But this was just a temporary problem. Soon the border crossings will revert to normal levels save some unforeseen catastrophic event.

Biden enjoys about a 65% job approval rating at the moment and about a 70% approval for his handling of Covid - 19. The GOP will have to find something else to go after him for. This won't stick.

Why do you think they’re making Pot Smoking and On line Gambling LEGAL?

When you’re Stoned and Broke you really don’t worry about much beyond where to buy more Pot.

Biden should focus on retirement.

Please No ...
Next in Line; Harris (who seems to have eligibility problems)
Next in Line; Nancy Pelosi

The Incompetent Boob In Chief is both horrible and worthless but the current alternatives are ACTUALLY Worse. How that can be ... I have no idea.

@Bay0Wulf [factcheck.org]

@TyKC
Yeah ... you go right ahead with your factcheck ...
Pelosi wants that seat. She’s been pretty close a couple times already.
You think she’s not going to dispute Harris getting possession of it?

Not to mention, there are more than a few who would question her and willingly delay her confirmation.

Not to mention she’s an actual waste of human skin.
She could do the Country a Great Service by slipping on a piece of soap in the shower and ...

@Bay0Wulf It might be helpful if you would learn something about the U.S. Constitution. Here's your first lesson on the 25th amendment:

The 25th Amendment, Section 1, Clause 6, "the vice president is the direct successor of the president, and becomes president if the incumbent dies, resigns or is removed from office." There is no confirmation process.

@TyKC
Oh! Wait!
Suddenly the US Constitution MATTERS to this Administration? That’s a bit new ... actually, when did that occur? Because it seems that they’re out there breaking Constitutional Laws on a daily basis

And ummm ... hate to point it out to you, but there is a Formal Ceremony involved and you can bet that process can be interrupted for ... “Reasons”

Maybe you weren’t around when Gerry Ford was confirmed after Nixon ... abdicated ... that didn’t go ... quite ... as smoothly as was visible to the Public ... as you seem to think the process will work.

But ... that’s okay ... You Believe What You Wanna Believe.

I simply LOVE when somebody quotes the US Constitution and Bill of Rights to me ... it makes them seem so SMART (naive maybe but smart) because they think I’m not aware of the Text or Information contained therein ...

Of course, I’ve been watching various Administrations and Supremes doing the “How Many Angels can Dance on the Head of a Pin” thing with it since the 60s so I have a pretty good idea just how “Flexible” it can seem to be if the ... “situation warrants”.

@Bay0Wulf What Constitutional Laws are they breaking? BTW, Ford's confirmation was for vice president, not president. Spiro Agnew was vice president at the time and resigned in disgrace. And yes, Ford had to be confirmed as vice president because he was not elected on the ticket. Harris' situation is quite different. She's already vice president. And yes, I think you are a blithering idiot and don't know anything about the U.S. Constitution and don't care to. All your rant says is that you have no confidence in our system of government. So, what system would you prefer? Let me guess: a totalitarian government with you as dictator.

@TyKC
Really!?
Yeah ... Gerry Ford wasn’t actually a President as well due to Nixon ...

But well ...
I guess talking with you is like a conversation I once had with Joey Ramone in a park in Queens ...

Gabba Gabba HEY!!!
Oh ... yeah ... I like that thing about being told I’m “ranting” ... pretty funny schmoe
