Evolutionary biologists have theorised that the domestication of dogs(more accurately, dogs' domestication of themselves) may have had a hand in bringing about the concept of private property. Early humans would have been collectivists in their hunter-gatherer communities, but dogs are inherently opposed to collective ownership; they bond to one or two individuals or families. Shortly after the domestication of dogs, early humans began to settle down in permanent locations, a move that would require the concept of private property. So, in essence, dogs are the cure for communism.
They haven't discovered the gene that causes lesbianism when its exposed to cat dander yet, but I'm sure it's out there.
