Why is the war on the rich seem to be started and pushed by rich politicians? Which in my eyes are the worst kind of rich because i truley don't think they earned it. Take jeff bezos for instance the man built himself an empire which i applaud. Now take some of these politicians who make under 200k a year and are worth 10 of millions calling him out.... i just don't get it

It seems to me to all be a shell game designed to ensure only the most wealthy and powerful are able to compete. The calls for higher and more taxes, more benefits and higher wages end up crushing smaller businesses while the large multinationals can still compete. It’s similar for their ideas of “getting money out of politics” implying that PACS or even super pacs could possibly have more influence with the airtime they purchase than the major networks have with their injection of politics into every talk show, news, comedy and late nite segments.. the goal there is to eliminate all competitors to their hegemonic control of the narrative. The internet has been a thorn in this processes’ side so now you’re seeing “fact check” sites that read like the opinion section in Teen Vogue and attacks of individual youtuber’s who amass substantial followings. They’re all punching down while convincing the public they’re punching up. As for the politicians, they’re fighting to have public funding of elections, their pensions and those of their retired colleagues eat 1/2 the federal budget each year and they never vote no on a raise for themselves. There’s far more to point at from organizations like planned parenthood getting state and federal taxes yet donating millions to democrat campaigns to public sector unions lobbying politicians to spend your money on themselves, to the “speaking fees” prior to the passage of one sided legislation. None of these issues are ever on the chopping block.
