“Why I am Immigrating to America by Any Means Possible: A Thought"

“Oh, say can you see, By the dawn's early light”. Just listening to those words, and imagining that I am about to embark on a journey to the United States, I can already envisage putting my USA cap on and heading to a football game, to support my team and celebrate with my fellow American friends, specially Democrats, that have now opened the doors to people like myself, a "latino" that would otherwise never be able to set foot in America unless of course one would pursue a lengthy and costly process. I can already picture us having our arms wrapped around one another while we sing the "The Star-Spangled Banner” with our hands on our chests, teary eyes, before the beautiful, magnificent, inspiring “Stars and Stripes”, the one and only U.S flag.

Growing up in the wilderness of the Brazilian countryside in abject poverty, it has been my lifetime dream to be able to one day, move to America. I have always dreamed that a time would come when I would pack my bags and move to The Land of the Free. I thought that this day would never come. But now 36, having learned the language needing not any government programs to help me settle, fit to work, the time has come. I respect my neighbours and their property, I pray to the Lord, believe in the unity of the family, I can create wealth through my labour, ideas. Thanks to the Democratic Party, there is enough encouragement from political forces and the many wonderful and welcoming Americans for people like myself, my wife, my parents, my relatives and many of close friends to make the move and head up north leaving behind the Socialist hell of South America, to make a life for ourselves in North America.

As Christians and firm believers in the teachings of Jesus Christ our Lord, we know we will be able to integrate straight away with the community. We want to bring our faith-based values, our belief in God our Creator, our defence in Freedom and in individual responsibility; our defence for private property and for the Western Civilisation heritage; our love for the Nation of Israel, The Promised Land of the Jewish people, our most cherished friends and allies. We want to work hard to create wealth, jobs, and like the democrats, we are very happy to pay a small percentage of our income to maintain the government limited role in society, such as upholding the Rule of Law, strengthening the Military and keep the integrity of the institutions.

Like the Democrats, we also believe in the right for people to participate in the electoral process. Therefore, we will support our right to vote, and once we can, we will vote in the party that mostly represents our values, which happens to be the Republican Party. One may think that this might be counter to the Democrat’s interests, but you see, unlike one might think, the Democrats are tolerant with all political affiliations. Yes, when we can vote, my family and I will likely massively vote Republican, the party that abolished slavery. The Republican Party is the party for most conservatives, but that is not relevant. We are not interested in labels, with are interested in policies, policies that keep the United States of America, both United and American. And we simply cannot see that in the Democrats. But yes, we are very happy that they want to let us in, we will come, but cannot in clear conscience support their destructive agenda.

If the Democrats wants us to come in, by all means, we will come in. Surely it doesn’t matter that we will vote Republicans, it doesn’t matter that we worship God and the Lord Jesus and reject the indoctrination of our children in public schools and universities and the insanity of such things as “gender ideology”, a truly evil and despicable idea: The Democrats just want to help people like us to have opportunities, because they are against “privilege”. That’s is insanity to suggest that political affiliations matter.

Until media pundits understands this, the cultural war will continue and the good trust we have build up in great institutions such as CNN, MSNBC, the New York Times, The Washington Post or even FOX - although some criticism for the latter should be valid - will perish. TV Channels such as FOX News often give platform to people who want to take the Constitutional rights of the American people, such as the rights to gun ownership, for example. There is no need give platform for such people who do not believe in the 1st and the 2nd amendment and when Fox News bring on guests to debate the subject. What they are doing is giving voice to people who simply want to destroy the Freedom the Founding Fathers fought for and that many Americans died for.

Our group is now in process of organising ourselves. We are well prepared, we have all the financial means we need, we are “acculturated”, we have the skills, the language, the motivation as we have built on from absolutely nothing to a position in which we can now, thanks the opening borders policy defended by the Democrats, make our way to America with our own resources. We are flying to Mexico City on a budget airline and from there we will be privately escorted to the Mexico border with the US by hired security personal that will protect the integrity of our group. We are a total of about 120 people, including many children – I know we can count on the Democrats to help us in - and with God’s blessings we will be in America before the Wall is built. Once we in, we will actually help Trump build it for we believe that nations sovereignty must be protected.

I have been speaking in private conferences for people who share the same religious and philosophical values, who believes in private property, in Western Civilization, in the Enlighted Conservatism of the Founders of the USA. There is a list of about 2.500 – 3.000 thousand strong - mostly people who voted for Brazilian new elected president Jair Bolsonaro, often referred as the “Trump of the Tropics” – people interested in joining us once we are in. Once we make it to the US, we will provide all the support for the newcomers to settle with their families. We are planning to set a small republican-conservative community in Southern California.

Although we know it is an expensive State, the three thousand – potentially fifteen thousand once they bring their families and relatives - new residents that will be coming will be well funded. Once the Democrats succeed in allowing for foreigners to legally be able to vote, we will be registering as Republicans – a Republican Community for Conservative Christians - and we want to collectively support our fellow Republicans and Conservative politicians for they are most likely to represent our values and interests, and we know that we won’t by this decision judged by Democrats, because at least they care and understands that tolerance is a virtue, even if that means we would – and we will – all be voting Trump in 2020.

With the help of the Democrats and the Blessing of God, the Latino Republicans are coming. I just hope that this position won't make the Democrats start shifting their position on illegal immigration.

That is pretty hypocritical don't you think? It sounds like you have the resources to come here legally. Instead you want to violate our laws to get in and then help build a wall to keep others like yourselves out? And start a "Republican Community for Conservative Christians". ...How inclusive (Not). Under the circumstances, why would you think you will be welcomed here? How could anyone take the rest of what you are saying at face value? How about coming here legally and making a sincere attempt to assimilate into our culture instead? What you are saying sounds more like an invasion then immigration to me.

I urge you to read the comment once more and my comments in here too. This is a experiment thought designed to show how hypocritical is the Dem's argument. Once you tell them you are a conservative, you will vote republican, they will run as fast as they can from "let illegal immigrants come in". Who in the right mind would call NY Times or CNN credible?

By the way James, you may have proved my point in terms of values. I designed this essay to show that once you defend the 1st and 2nd amendment, once you openly spouse Christian Values and have some means, than you may need "cultural assimilation". Now if you want to come in and destroy American Values, support anti-Israel policies and Destroy Freedom of Speech, by all means "do come in". I do appreciate you making it clearer tough.

Not sure I follow you dude. I took your post at face value instead of some sort of disingenuous exorcise. I would be against any group of fundamentalists wanting to immigrate here and create a commune which is what I got from your post. Assimilation into our culture is what Irish, Italian, German, and most other ethnic groups did for the last 2 centuries. That is not what we are seeing now.

LOL, I just realized that the most well known Brazillian family to immigrate here is a perfect example of how immigrants can successfully assimilate into our culture and enrich it for their contribution.

Can't you recognize satire?

You did notice this was posted by a guy in England?

I am hoping some of you will get it: This is an experiment. My intention is to show that republicans are welcoming of legal immigration that respects the rule of law, while democrats are interested in voters. The moment I tell them I will come in, bring my family and relatives and will vote Trump, they will run as fast as they can from the subject.

No Republican would encourage you to come to the US illegally. Come legally and we will welcome you with open arms. If you chose to enter illegally, you are starting out breaking our laws, risking arrest and deportation, and losing any chance to come the legal way. If you value our freedoms and opportunities then you should value our laws as well. They go hand in hand. If legal entry to the US is beyond your means I suggest you apply for asylum or back your new president and help Brazil become a shining example of freedom and opportunity in South America.

Thanks for your reply. This is an experiment. Which is why I called it a "thought". It was a way to show that Americans do welcome people, but legally. If you read it again, you will realize that this can be translated into "democrats are opening the door to ilegal immigration" or "how to make a democrat change his view on ilegal immigration". Although it is true that I am from a very poor background in Brazil, my wife I live in the UK - we came in legally, we believe in laws - and we love America - we have been there as recent as last year -, the part of going to the country by any means and bring in 3 to 15k republican immigrants is a thought experiment. You tell that story to your democrat friend and see the reaction in regards to ilegal immigration.

I had some great Brazillian neighbors at my last place. They convinced me that we need the message of liberty translated into every language because our media is very one sided and the news on the spanish stations spins like cnn. At first during the 2016 election they thought Trump was the devil but I swear it took less effort to convince them otherwise than many people I’ve known my whole life. Even with the language barrier we would drink and talk politics and he soon came to realize that the dems stood against everything he came to America for. I still visit them from time to time and we drink wine and bbq. I see that you’re from europe and the story you wrote isn’t likely your own but it does ring true. Most often those in south america are all too familiar with the dangers of socialism, even if they need a little direction to break free of the media narrative that everyone on the right is a “racist”, cheers.

As for America, do not let the Socialism take over your country. It will destroy it. Not doubt.

Ps: Brazil speaks Portuguese. 🙂

Can't say I blame you for not trusting in the Democrats, too many radicals in that party nowadays.

Watching from the outside thought, as a Brazilian, I must say the Democratic Party has gone so far to the left that it's hard to differentiate them from most communist parties in South America, Brazil including.
