Interesting. I have Kaspersky and I just searched for solar panels on swisscows.com and my kaspersky went crazy, telling me about a "Dangerous URL blocked The Reason, as stated in the Kaspersky report was: "URL listed in database of malicious URLs"
Under Application: Google Chrome. That might mean simply that I'm using Chrome, but it might also mean that Google has listed swisscows as a 'malicious URL' to get people to stop using it.
I could use some feedback on which possibility you think is happening. The 'Dangerous URL' blocked is a gif file that starts with [logo], whatever logo is and it originates in . De which is Germany or Denmark, I forget which. I won't list the entire url for obvious reasons.
Just opened up swisscows.com and searched solarpanels with no problem
I am using Brave browser running on Linux using Clam AV
Their logo appears in the upper left corner and there is an add for TeleGaurd in the header space with a list of sites nothing bad or out of place.
Cool. Maybe that means it IS a Google Chrome issue. Might have to try Internet Explorer and see what happens.
EDIT: IE wants me to upgrade to Edge. I don't want to do that on my laptop. I'll try again next time I'm on my desktop.
@jamesdomus1861 you could install Brave browser it is basically google chrome with all the tracking gutted from it kind of like chromium I have found it to work well in windows ,mac and linux, there is also a version that runs on my samsung phone, I also use the Duck Duck Go web search engine in the browser.
@KeVince Cool. I'll check it out.
@jamesdomus1861
I also have Kaspersky & accessed swisscows using Firefox without any warning or issues.
