Fortunately, the laws of physics have prevented most politicians from meddling much in the field of energy - except for “regulation” of the energy industry, which has cost consumers billions, and effectively destroyed the readiness and robustness of distributors to withstand large variations in demand and weather events. That is squarely on the voters for allowing their representatives to lie to them and get away with that stuff, while siphoning off regulatory fees into windfalls which they laundered into their campaign funds. Democrats did that. NOT. Republicans, who consistently voted against “regulation” of the energy industry.
