The police should NOT come to her assistance at all. She wants to defund the police, therefore she does NOT deserve their protection!
Kshama Sawant is a radical, far-left socialist who sits on the Seattle City Council.
She is one of the people who has been demanding the defunding of police for months.
Yet now that she has received some threats, she is complaining that the police investigation of the threats is too slow.
Why is she even involving the police? Hasn’t she forfeited her ability to use the police for her own safety?

Blue cities have a higher murder rate than red cities, and higher debt.
While my instant visceral response is to say that she deserves whatever she gets - or doesn’t, insofar as a police response is concerned.
But might it not serve everybody better if the police did their utmost to keep her safe and demonstrate just what folly this ‘Defund The Police’ nonsense really is.

I get your point entirely, but you're making the mistake of believing that these people can/will learn.
Thing is, she thinks that SHE deserves it, just not the rest of society. Rules for thee, but not for me. Think of the mayor of Chicago who went and got a haircut when she forbid anyone else to do it, then acted like she was shocked about the response and said, "I take my grooming very seriously and I'm in the public eye." In other words, I'm important and you're not.
