Just saw a headline from CNN - NRA files for bankruptcy and files to leave New York in order to move to Texas.
Opinions, thoughts, ideas about NRA greatly appreciated. Also I want to know why NRA needs permission to relocate - out of NY and into Texas?
They do t have to ask. The litigation would be for tax purposes, and the like. Dissolve the 501c or whatever.
Then start the process in texas. Alot of legal paperwork and mumbo jumbo, but permission they do not need.
It could also stem from the lawsuit that has been filed against them by the NY attorney general. Maybe that is the holdup.
seems the NY atty gen law suit against NRA is really on behalf of the entire socialist party/movement. with that in mind do you think they will get some liberal judge and file an injunction against NRA relocating operations to Texas? In other words I don't believe the socialists would be satisfied in the least with anything less than a total obliteration of NRA - not to merely move them out of NY but to put NRA permanently out of business.
I do not appreciate and will not tolerate Jew hatred in my posts. You can remove that remark or I will do it for you. I would do the same regardless the ethnic group being disparaged for their ethnicity.
Corporate bankruptcy is a way to terminate contracts that are detrimental to the long term health of the organization - likely there are contracts and agreements binding the NRA offices to NY they want out of and this is the easiest way.
Moving to Texas....isn't EVERYONE moving to Texas?? Even Musk is doing it! I've been working on my plans to move there for almost 4 years....maybe this year? $$ allowing.
I think this is strategic rather than purely financial.
thanks for the insight. Yes seems even Elon Musk is moving operations to the Longhorn State. But he might have evil motives for doing so - you know the left is trying very hard to flip Texas to the blue - right? They already own Austin (the Texas State Capitol). I'm pretty sure all those California refugees are brining their SJW politics along as they flood into Texas.
@iThink It is certainly a concern, not just in Texas. And I am sure that Musk has his own motivations.
As far as Austin is concerned....been there, dislike it.
@tracycoyle never been to Austin cuz I had no reason to go there...but this made me think of one of my favorite SA (smart azz) responses I've been known to use a few times...
