The 50 seats the Republicans have is NOT a firewall. If Biden Wins The Kamala Harris gets to be the tie breaker. If Trump loses the recount then the Republican candidates in the run-off senate elections are guaranteed to lose
Well, they need to win at least 1 of the two Georgia run offs. Trump is doing what the responsible thing is. There are a number of cases of fraud in the system with documented evidence. Let it play in the courts. If all is investigated we can have some sense that the results of the election was fair. Obama should have had the DOJ looking at the 2016 election..... but he didn't want to lose the "it was a stolen election" card they wanted to cry over for 4 years. If there is shenanigans.... root it out so we can have confidence that the results are legitimate. No states have certified results. Biden is not the president-elect yet. He probably will be. Just because the media has called the election means jack squat nothing. No where in the constitution does it say the election is over when Wolf Blitzer says it is over.
Republicans will almost certainly have 52 seats in the Senate.
@TheMiddleWay The election isn't over yet.
@TheMiddleWay As an Accelerationist I fully support Democrats taking over the Senate.
@TheMiddleWay Why would take anything Vox says seriously? Acceleration is simply the recognition that it's difficult to wake people up gently. They may stir, but will quickly fall back asleep. No, to wake them up you must do it roughly. Obama was good for accelerating people awake, but Trump was a pacifier and glass of warm milk. The Harris administration is going to jolt people awake even more than Obama did.
This post is speaking as if the election results will not be proven massively fraudulent.
Do you think that’s a reasonable possibility? As much as I feel deep disappointment with this win by the woke-left, realistically, I don’t see a snowball’s chance in hell of the results changing. And even if the results did change, nothing good would come of it at this point.
Do you think focusing on retaking the House and the Senate in the next midterms would be a more valuable use of our energy? The real issue here isn’t a single election, but how to deliver a conservative message that connects with a broader range of people. All it takes is getting another 5% to 10% to go over the top.
A lot has hit the internet showplace since your post. I recently watched the Gettysburg review of serious vote fraud allegations with Guiliani a second time.
I emphasize internet because I don't trust my TV to have had any clue what truth is for many years.
@EricJohnson do you think Trump’s reaction to the election is helping or hurting GoP candidates in the Georgia runoffs? How is the administration’s intransigence influencing the mood of Georgia voters towards Republicans?
No matter what happens, midterms are two years away. Democratic control of the Senate may give the left just enough rope to hang itself as power goes to their collective (no pun intended ) head.
What Republicans do between now and January will help or hinder the right for years to come.
However, 50 “republican” seats isn’t really 50 seats, it’s more like 47 when you consider the hard and fast never-trumper RINOs. Even when we had a clear majority in both houses of Congress, they couldn’t and wouldn’t get anything done. The same is true for the other side of the aisle. For decades they have been impotent. The only thing they could do was to take in more money for their own families at the expense of the public.
If Trump isn’t allowed an honest count of the votes and we end up with Harris for president after they declare Biden incompetent using the 25th amendment, we all lose. There will be no more disposing of swamp monsters on either side. IMO
Good point. Romney voted with the impeachment crowd, after all.
@TimTuolomne I hope this (watermarks/tracking of ballots) is true, but I’m not counting on it. Time will tell. Thanks for bringing this back up.
@Daveclark5 That's not the only evidence. Their box of dirty tricks is leaking dozens of serious voter fraud examples across the country, probably going into the hundreds by now. I have posted an half dozen of them. And this issue has become large enough to get the attention of both the Justice Department, and Barr.
