@Admin: If Section 230 is repealed, what will that mean for slug.com?

In light of Trump's push to repeal 230, and the FCC's willingness to consider it and do something like it at least, I'm curious what you think the future of this site would be under various possible scenarios.

As I've said in other threads, I think a repeal of 230 could possibly destroy social media as we know it. After all, if FB and Twitter would be held liable for what it's members say or post on their services, I would think that many services would severely limit what people can post or shut down entirely. That in an attempt to get these services to stop self-censoring the posting of private personal information (as in the most current example), what will actually happen is that those service will censor ALL contentious content that could in any, way, shape or form open them up to litigation in all the countries they serve.

Given the slug.com has a more permissive attitude towards what is said here... which, in my experience, has led to anti-semitic and sexist content being posted... I'm wondering what your thoughts are as a social media operator. Would you keep the site open "as-is" and risk the consequences? Would you be more stringent in the enforcement of what people can say or post? Or might you outright shut the site down so as to not personally open yourself up to any litigation that might ensue due to what us members say or do?

I'm genuinely curious for your views, @Admin, since talking about Section 230 repeal may be a mostly academic exercise for those of us not on Facebook or Twitter... but may be very real exercise for those of us on slug.com (or your other sites)
