"About million people, over a period of years, were displaced from their homes following the foreclosure crisis in 2008,” she added. We’re looking at 20 million to 28 million people in this moment, between now and September, facing eviction.”

You know ...
There’s this thing that happens If you don’t pay Your Mortgage or Rent ...?
A lot of people have been simply willing to take advantage of the “CCP Virus” crisis.
A lot of Mayors, Governors and Government Officials have fed that willingness.

If people were struggling to meet their obligations before the “crisis” and have now let themselves actually fall behind, they get no sympathy from me.

"A lot of people have been simply willing to take advantage of the “CCP Virus” crisis." Any sympathy for those that don't fit your description?

@lawrenceblair
As one who has been paying my own way since I was 16 ... and still doing so regardless of whether its rent or a mortgage ... and I prefer rent (there’s no illusion or liability of “ownership” ) I’d have to say ... “Maybe”

On a case by case basis, I can relate that sometimes enough misfortune can press someone into a corner but as a “General Situation”? No.

People often make Bad Choices. People often Live Beyond Their Means. People like to try to Lay Blame on ... Anything and Everything.

I paid a friend’s mortgage and property taxes for the better part of two years as Cancer Treatments and the ensuing inability to work crushed him ... and, in the end, he decided I was doing it so I could “Take His Property” from him when he died. I hoped that was just the drugs and the strain that warped his thinking ...
There are some with legitimate reasons but mostly I am skeptical about a “Surge” of “Millions”

Its like the Millions upon Millions of “Poor” who have 50” TVs, Laptops, iPads, Cable &/or InterNet, New or Newly Leased cars, Top of the Line “Smart Phones” and are the beneficiaries of more “Government Programs” than I’ve ever heard of.
I’ve worked all my life and I’ve done okay ... sometimes better than okay ... and these people have often NEVER worked, consider themselves “Poor” and live better than I do.
