Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham, as of yesterday, is enforcing an already in place mandatory wearing of masks with a $100.00 fine for the few who aren't complying. This is over-reach. New Mexico is a poor (welfare) and low population, rural state with a large advanced technology presence. Los Alamos, White Sands, Nasa, space program, nuclear, spyware on satellites, Kirtland, secret endeavors, etc etc etc. If it wasn't over-reach then she would have the guard posted everwhere to enforce this. Instead, this will fall on the hourly worker of businesses to enforce. Employees are not protected by employers anymore and politicians like her threaten to shut down businesses if they don't comply. Nothing like cook the book statistics and an inflated cold virus for haters of humanity to wield over others.

I don't believe political leadership has the authority to make such rules but they will continue doing that unless or until someone has the courage and the financial backing to challenge them in court.
