Can I be happy when I see someone better and more progressed toward perfection than I? Of course I can choose to be happy, not envious! His progress can give me hope! If I see someone struggling I don't have to choose conceit, but I can find some empathy and encourage him along his way. In other words, I can rejoice when I see good, in myself, and others! Very interesting article indeed! The U.S. Constitution has, I think, the phrase..."obtaining their just powers from the consent of the governed", or something close. How does one remove consent that is implied by virtue of simply being a citizen of a country? Is there an official web site where one can so do? To consent to allow immoral people the right, or power, to govern oneself seems counterintuitive.

When 34 of the states present a request for a convention to propose amendments, Congress shall call for one. The people governing the governors....what a concept! Many fear-mongers out there, though. While pretending to support the Constitution, they misrepresent the Constitution, and fret about a Constitutional Convention (Con-Con), which a convention of states is not! Any proposed amendments that arise from a Convention of States would need to be presented for ratification to the states. 3/4 of which (38), would need to ratify the proposals before they would actually amend the constitution. Term limits for Congress, a balanced budget amendment of some kind and/or fair tax may be a good place to start.
