While working in Houston, Tx in a branch office in the burbs we got the word that the office was in a lockdown until coppers could sort out what was going down in the parking lot. Full story came out a week or so later in some sort of training seminar (that part of the memory is suppressed, thank Gawd). Trainer told us that while working in the lobby the supervisor of the crew fired one of the contract workers (painter or some such). Fired worker went to his pickup and came back with his shotgun and potted the supervisor. Mayhem ensued. The memorable point was a question from the audience: "Well, was it one of OUR supervisors who was killed?" Such was the level of concern of Texas employees about guns -- only get alarmed if they are used on one of us!

Witness the numerous situations in which they were publicly displayed (e.g., Rwanda) as an example of "lookie here how the 'international community' is stopping oppression" and they stood by.
