I've always been interested in religion and reason, philosophy and science. So I became a social worker. How the hell did I get there? I've managed dairy farms and restaurants, cut trees in Alaska, drove taxi in Maine. I've been a baker, a shelter worker for adolescent runaways, and a mental health social worker. I grew up a Catholic, became a Mormon, then an athiest for many years. I loved to debate Christians because most could not defend their faith. I've studied the Koran, the book of Mormon, a little Hinduism and Buddhism. I became a Christian 9 years ago. I've attended many christian churches: hypocrisy and lies. Who woulda thunk it. Views I held since my teenage years; views on abortion, socialism, welfare, religion began to change. At the age of 51 I began to question my beliefs
