The Story Of Coronavirus Whistleblower: Dr Li Wenliang - YouTube
TimTuolomne comments on Mar 18, 2020:
Had authorities paid attention and begun protocols, Dr Li may not have lost his life treating the glaucoma patient. They made him sign a statement denying his concerns. That is basically political correctness proving deadly. Is that what we want in the West?

I have seen nothing that suggests that anyone is going to avoid exposure eventually, so there will be nothing gained by closing businesses, and a lot to lose when it comes time to recover economically. The idea might be to limit overwhelming our healthcare facilities, but so far that is not much of a problem. Why cripple us economically before we know its necessary?

The President has direct authority over foreign policy and originally the military. Other than that the President is more of a cheerleader. Of course one has to have some familiarity with the Constitution to be aware of that. So it is actually his job to be as positive as he can in the face of adversity. His critics would like him to wring his hands and say we're all going to die. He did not and in their minds that makes him a liar. They should be ashamed of themselves for childish cheap shotting.

There are many of us who have been regarding most of the media as "public enemy number one" for a very long time. The mud slung at Trump has had two effects. 1. TimTuolomne comments on Mar 17, 2020:
Remember the 9 trillion dollars of "quantitative easing?" Did you see any of it? I didn't. When the government gives large amounts of money to "contractors" to administer, most of it goes to the contractor, and a good deal of it gets kicked back to the politician that passes the bill. Local charities, churches and foundations are ALWAYS the preferred method of serving those in need. For one thing local charity is accountable. Everyone knows who they are and where they live. For another, the statistical percentage of value delivered is usually many times the value filtering out of government payouts. Think Katrina. Billions of dollars and name anyone from there and the payout they received.

One of the strengths of a free market is that it can respond quickly to changes in supply and demand. Threats are a signal that tends to alert savvy businesses to consider alternate sources, or switch to back-up sources already established. China isn't the only player in the game, just often the cheapest. But cost is not just price. If the pipeline is not robust, the cost goes up to assure supply. If I were the Chinese, I would be apologising profusely, not posturing.

TimTuolomne comments on Mar 17, 2020:
The common cold is caused by the so-called “coronavirus,” and this is the 2019 version. The common cold has been regarded fairly casually by the medical establishment, and my impression is that there have been few strong studies on its epidemiology. So there may have been an opportunity for China - if they knew of its epidemiology, to promote COVID-19 as a Spanish-Flu-like threat, the next time a strong coronavirus roared through one of their bushmeat markets. I know very little about China, except that it is a bureaucracy beyond manageable size, so local inequities are bound to dominate. However it does have a very powerful police and military, which can control any area on which it focuses, very well, for a short time. If China found itself at a bargaining disadvantage with some foreign companies which it did not care to confront directly, it might provide a screen to martially commandeer what it wants. This occurs to me as the data comes in for COVID-19, that seems to be trending toward the less dangerous and more common-cold variety of bug. Otherwise why draw attention to China's own health problems? At this point, the panic in the US has allowed the politicians who favor greater control to dominate the conversation, and the President has had little choice but to respond in a way that seems credibly concerned and serious about the safety of the nation. If I were in that office, my tendency would have been to say “Let's wait for reliable data before pandering to panic.” That might not have kept me in office, even if I was right. Reports of bungled controls in a Canadian lab, of tissue samples from Europe, Chinese nationals' sudden disappearance form the lab last October, and the Wuhan doctor among the first casualties, leaving a letter claiming the virus had escaped a military virology lab in Wuhan, all remain unconfirmed, and may never be. Stories like that follow a fairly recognizable pattern typical of Soviet-style disinformation programs. Programs like that tend to work because the truth does not emerge sometimes until long after the event has piqued our curiosity. As more data comes in about the virus, I am hopeful that we can relax a bit and let the economy stabilize. To help this along, let your representatives know you feel this way – if you do, so we can resume our lives.

Most Democrats I know are astonished when I show them the actual historical fact that the Ku Klux Klan is the militant wing of the Democrat party, formed to intimidate black voters from voting for Lincoln’s party, the Republicans, who passed the 13th, 14th and 15th Amendments - against Democrat opposition. Those Amendments freed the slaves, ended legal discrimination and gave everyone the right to vote (Except women. That came in the 19th Ammendment with Republicans in favor 2 to one over Democrats.) By far the majority of Klansmen have been Democrats. Democrats created Segregation. Today they have conveniently forgotten, and make the ridiculous claim that Republicans are racist. Ask yourself what other descriptions of Republicans probably apply more to Democrats, and which party by far most untruthfully condemns the other. If you dare and are diligent, you will find it is the Democrats. Party of the ignorant, gullible, fearful and prejudiced. The increase in lawlessness in America today is a direct result of people in power behaving beyond the rules, and they are justified by unrestrained contempt by the media for their law-abiding opposition. Its obvious to anyone who is interested in the truth that the Democrat leadership is corrupt and not the least interested in fairness. They are only interested in power and will lie and defraud as required to manipulate their gullible idealistic base. And they will stop at nothing to destroy anyone who threatens their power. The "Resist" movement is the embodiment of that lawless spirit.

Borrowing twice the GDP for 8 years in a row was the equivalent of everyone in the country borrowing $40,000 every year to pay only INTEREST on a boat. These guys are pointing out that until that deficit gets somehow cleared away, the nation's fiscal security is at risk. The only way to recover is to stimulate the private sector by reducing taxes to zero for 8-12 years. The Irish Miracle proved it. Reaganomics did too before that (to the endless frustration and denial of socialists), and there have been many examples before that. Let the Chief know that you support reducing taxes to stimulate the private sector - especially to kick start the economy after COVID-19. This bug is fast. "Flattening the curve" isn't going to be very effective against something that started in mid-November, and of which we became aware in February. But we haven't really much of a handle on its mortality, because we can't very well identify how many infections there are that are asymptomatic, among other reasons. We will know very soon. We should be concerned that Martial Law is not applied without damn good reason.

Well, you immediately know they are illiterate, because they are unaware of history. And you know they can't think their way out of a wet paper bag because they don't see the circular logic of Marxism. I generally stay away from idiots.
Love it!! ❤️❤️

TimTuolomne comments on Mar 16, 2020:
Can't blame them. Capitalism has made the US ripe for plundering by socialist politics, as has happened throughout history. The only thing that could prevent that is enough people in the US waking up to it.
The end of the American energy industry.
TimTuolomne comments on Mar 16, 2020:
If we let socialists, who don't know oil from water, dictate energy policy, shame on us.

TimTuolomne comments on Mar 15, 2020:
This is not the first murder by the nascent Socialist States of America. Clinton probably was not the first perpetrator either. The Bolshevik revolution was sudden. The NAZI party was more gradual, as it has begun here. Now that we are in effect at Martial Law, I will not be surprised if it accelerates. Those of us speaking the truth are now at risk.
I haven't posted a joke this bad in a while.

Obama appears to be determined secure his reputation as absolutely the worst president in US history. He is fighting James Buchanan and Howard Taft for the bottom. But economic growth was greater even for those two. It is disturbing that he seems to be enjoying the suffering, and clearly willing to play politics with it.

TimTuolomne comments on Mar 15, 2020:
Quarantines are not going to work very well with this bug. Sooner or later we are all going to be exposed to it, and about 98% of us will recover. Maybe more. We don't know yet. We should realize that it is our duty to serve those who struggle with it, and do our best to protect the weakest of society. Not as a government. As individuals.

Educating for Intolerance: Universities and the New Elitism [areomagazine.com]
TimTuolomne comments on Mar 15, 2020:
I was in college decades ago and recall several classes dominated by leftist commentary that should have been only math. My understanding is that this has gone to full-on indoctrination. It was bad enough then to make me angry that I had worked so hard to pay for my engineering degree and had to put up with that. So today I am in favor of razing every university that takes funds from the government and starting them over. And if that fails to produce an open minded environment, to close them permanently. So join me and write to your reps and senators. And tell them to repeal the Bayh-Dole Act of 1970, which is mostly responsible for the Deep State control of universites.

I'm somewhat shocked over this.
TimTuolomne comments on Mar 15, 2020:
I don't think that will hurt Cuomo much with the Democrats, and he just might be one Democrat who feels responsibility to the people, more than to the party. They can't ALL be frauds.
yep, are your eye wide open yet!

Not just yet I don't. Pretty sure its going to be the other way around.
Hey De Blasio, close the freaking New York City schools.
TimTuolomne comments on Mar 15, 2020:
Politics will prove out the mortality of this bug. Those like Trudeau and DeBlasio are using their people as guinea pigs. Conservatives are playing it safer. Perhaps this will reveal the true colors of liberals to America for a good while.

TimTuolomne comments on Mar 15, 2020:
Time will tell. But this does not seem to have been very well planned if it was intentional. If I intended to use a biohazard as a weapon, I would have some way of containing it, AND I would already have an antidote. Simply creating chaos may be a tool of Marxists and some socialists, but I have a difficult time believing they would allow it to do as much damage to them as to the West. They have far more to lose in chaos. Democracy is resilient. Most people suffering under tyranny are just looking for a way to overthrow the government. History shows that chaos of some kind is often the catalyst.
What is the "Q" ?
TimTuolomne comments on Mar 15, 2020:
I stand corrected. "Q" apparently is a mythical conspiracy dreamed up by the New York Times, and adopted ad-hoc by a few Tea Party types as a kind of call to arms. Unfortunately that justified the NYT fabrication. Violence and intimidation is the stock in trade of the Democrats, not conservatives. Everyone but the most delusional know it. The New York Times motto should be "All the News That Fits We Print," because they have disgraced themselves so many times. Fabrication has been proved within their behavior as well.

I don't have much respect for those who have let themselves become so ignorant that they don't understand the Constitution, but I'm also not a fan of conspiracy theories. Humans just aren't that clever.
