So as soon as smart politicians get the signal that the public is over it, and can back off from the politically risky position of interfering with the status quo, they will. We can't defeat them with harsh words. Dogs seek attention by their pack. SJWs are like pack dogs, and as long as their pack approves, they will not be moved by outside arguments. It is not a Plann-edemic except in the readiness to take advantage of the event, which any moron could foresee would happen eventually, by driving the public to panic. There is no leader in the World, except in a tyrannical regime, that could be less cautious than the aggregate public demanded, no matter how mistaken. Dr Neil Ferguson, whose original predictions were used by many leaders to drive COVID-19 policy, has reduced the estimated mortality rate to roughly equivalent to the flu. The flu kills millions every year, and shutting everything down this year is a first. Even though the flu and COVID-19 started roughly the same time, and the flu has claimed 12,000 lives, COVID-19 less than 3000. https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2020/03/epidemiologist_lowers_original_catastrophic_death_prediction.html https://aspe.hhs.gov/cdc-%E2%80%94-influenza-deaths-request-correction-rfc https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/#countries

Today every candidate is blaming Trump, "Big Pharma" and insurance companies for what Democrats did, and assert that Obamacare is the solution, even though it also drove up costs. They don't dare admit what Democrats like Biden, Pelosi and Schumer did, and either are sure you won't remember, or don't know enough about their job to be in office. That isn't the only thing they are lying to you about. Look it up. Its public knowledge. Today many medical professionals have retired early because of the requirements of Obamacare to add 30% to their costs of administration without compensation. The result? Healthcare is no longer the envy of the World and this young man is among the tragic proof.

I think its time to let the President know its time to restore normalcy.

There were 84,000 deaths in 2018 due to the flu. Even at this rate, COVID-19 could moderate well below that number. Dr. Neil Ferguson has weighed in on that happening. If COVID-19 is not a whole lot worse than the flu, there will have been no justification for risking the economy.

The demographics of Italy lends to higher mortality rates. Italy has among the oldest average population in the World, and among the highest percentage of smokers in the World as well; both the top risk factors for COVID-19. A similar effect is happening in New York City because too few people realized the need to be careful to keep their hands clean. The entire World was infected by two months of unrecognized virus exposure, as Wuhan travelers dispersed before it was widely known. So every population was primed, and additional time was required to develop constructive habits .

So connecting an event yesterday with coronavirus tomorrow is not really reasonable.

It is happening in the US as well. Now there are more than 2.5 million Muslims here. Every one of them - if loyal to the Quran, is directed to lie(Taqiyya), and displace or kill (Hadith 9-5, among other places) non-Muslims. That's potentially Millions of sleeper terrorists. If they become activated, the carnage would be something we haven't seen since the Civil War.

If you have witnessed polling stations with officers ALL Democrats, as have I, you realize that the Democrats have somehow placed their officers in charge of counting the votes. “Its not how you vote that counts. Its who counts the votes.” - Josef Stalin
Many people are debating on whether people are more important than economy or economy is more ...
TimTuolomne comments on Mar 28, 2020:
The economy is people. It is an artificial construct created for exchange between people, for their benefit and for their luxury. The luxury part may bother some, but the benefit part can be understood by most of us. Will people die if the economy fails? I hazard a guess that some will.

One of the definitions of treason is giving aid and comfort to the enemy. If someone is rejoicing at the misfortune of the nation, I believe that qualifies. I strongly suggest that they go wherever they have more pride in their surroundings, before someone takes their comments seriously. There have been executions by the US government for treason.

In a free market, why does the cost of living rise?
TimTuolomne comments on Mar 27, 2020:
Prices rise when demand increases. Would you claim evolution was moral or immoral? You see, its a non-sequitur.

Trump should not SIGN the STIMULUS BILL - YouTube
TimTuolomne comments on Mar 27, 2020:
Obama obligated taxpayers for 9+ trillion dollars - the highest amount applied to an economic recovery in history, and then we suffered the worst economy in the history of the US. Where did it go? Until we know, we should not spend like that again. So Obama proved for all time that government spending for economic stimulus is a bad idea. The debt before Obama did that was about 9+ trillion. Congress has obligated taxpayers for another 4 trillion since Trump took office. We are now 23 trillion in the red. That's $67,650 for every man, woman and child in the US, for nothing in return. 2 trillion would accomplish very little and for a very short time. The "Irish Miracle," and "Reaganomics," and other examples proved that cutting taxes temporarily always causes the private sector to roar to life, and the effects last much longer, and taxes can be resumed very quickly. (Unless you are a progressive. Then you think Obama was a genius.)

Throughout history the strength of the free market has outperformed the government in conventional commerce and in emergencies. Some have argued persuasively that American manufacturing won the war in WWII. Government is the worst possible solution to everything except defense and possibly interstate commerce. "Government is not reason, it is not eloquence, it is force; like fire, a troublesome servant and a fearful master. Never for a moment should it be left to irresponsible action." - George Washington, in a speech of January 7, 1790. Nothing has changed.
Oh the irony.

Jordan Peterson. "Dumb People Gotta Eat Too." [youtu.be]
TimTuolomne comments on Mar 27, 2020:
As Dr Peterson implies, there are roughly half of the population for which thinking deeply is unlikely. These are the segment of the population which will literally depend on the media and their tribe to tell them what to think. the Left leaning media is only too willing to volunteer, and wealthy progressives have bought up much of the media with that objective. Recently, conservative Fox News owner relinquished control of Fox to his Left leaning sons, and overnight Fox became almost indistinguishable from ABC. Pinch Sulszberger, the publisher of the New York Times, has long been known as a self-proclaimed socialist. If we wish to confront the propaganda coming from the Left and driving the beliefs of half of the population, we must befriend that half. Not disingenuously. We should anyway as our grateful Christian duty. Even though many will not be deep thinkers, one should find, as have I, that they are often genuine, steady and devoted family people, who will slowly accept friendship if it is offered in good faith.

I am a Christian who has read some of the Bible. Enough to recognize when a person is lying, or somehow missed the point, when they claim to have read it. The Old Testament is a collection of stories that tell us who we are and who God is. The New Testament is the current agreement between God and humans, and its main message is the "Great Commission" to all humans to love one another. Few Muslims have read the Koran either, but follow their leaders blindly. I have also read some of the Koran, enough to know two things: 1. It is the current call to Muslims. 2. "Islam" means "submit" and calls for Muslims to lie to spread Islam (Taqiyya), and to displace or kill every non-Muslim (infidel). Finally, the number of "white supremacists" is maybe 25,000 (.007% of the US population) Almost all of them are known by the FBI. There are 2,450,000 Muslims in the US (.7%, a hundred times more.)
