Are we in for a Covid-19 "Dark Winter"?
TimTuolomne comments on Oct 27, 2020:
Not reasonable to project, as the political element driving inaccurate testing has increased the number of known cases, even though the actual number of cases may remain unchanged, or even declining. How much do we know about slavery in the United States?
TimTuolomne comments on Oct 27, 2020:
“It takes no more research than a trip to almost any public library or college to show the incredibly lopsided coverage of slavery in the United States or in the Western Hemisphere, as compared to the meager writings on even larger number of Africans enslaved in the Islamic countries of the Middle East and North Africa, not to mention the vast numbers of Europeans also enslaved in centuries past in the Islamic world and within Europe itself. At least a million Europeans were enslaved by North African pirates alone from 1500 to 1800, and some Europeans slaves were still being sold on the auction blocks in the Egypt, years after the Emancipation Proclamation freed blacks in the United States.” ― Thomas Sowell, Black Rednecks and White Liberals “White liberals are the most racist people there are, because they put blacks in a box and insist that they think one way - and if they don’t, they attack them as illegitimate, all the while denying that their policies destroy blacks.” - Dr Ben Carson.

TimTuolomne comments on Oct 26, 2020:
Kennedy's party is one of the worst players regarding censorship. Kennedy is speaking as if Democrats are not culpable, and the President is, by saying he is a bully. I strongly disagree. He should know that the President has almost no power to do ANYTHING about COVID-19, except try to keep morale up in the US. He correctly points out that Zuckerberg, Gates and Bezos are at fault. Democrats. They are the ones exerting horrific amounts of power over the citizens of the US. They are the bullies. So calling the President a bully makes no sense, especially when he is obviously doing everything in his power to encourage the country, and be transparent about what his administration is doing. This warning would have been far more effective if he hadn't made it a partisan message.

If they wanted a war, they could have taken us already. China is all about benefiting economically from having trading partners, and the more control of those partners they have, the better for them, and the more like slavery it is for their trading "partners." China wants no less than our indentured servitude of their country. They don't get that if we go to war, because they might destroy our productivity, and some chance we might destroy theirs as well.

Feminist And voting for Trump?
TimTuolomne comments on Oct 25, 2020:
First of all, there is no international right to ANYTHING. Only a sovereign nation of a given citizen can grant such rights. And only the US Constitution states that such rights exist beyond government. Only a completely uninformed moron thinks those rights exist anywhere else. And the right to decide our own fate in the US, has already been decided in Roe v Wade, a political decision that should never have been made without the nation in agreement - which we are not. Secondly, as those rights do not exist internationally, and it may be advantageous to support other governments for many reasons benefiting the US, we lose nothing by agreeing. Thirdly, the State Department is currently a Leftist arm of the Deep State, and a loose cannon on the deck of the ship of state over which the President has almost no control, as the Leftist writer of this article well knows. So the Democrats are doing this anyway, and happy if you will believe their lie that the President did it. Finally, we are all broken in some way. I'm broken and will vote for Trump because I feel safer with him than a bunch of liars, frauds and anti-Constitutionalists. Anyone who agrees, regardless of the way they are broken, will do the same. Some people feel gender, sexual orientation, choice of career, and who knows what else is relevant to choosing the leader with the best character. Well that's not very smart.

It seems clear that "ethnic" and minority voters are increasingly feeling safer with the President than the eugenic, race baiting, LGBT apologizing, KKK denying, "Affordable" caring, anti-Constitutional, lying Democrats. That's worth between 5 and 15 million votes. Women are increasingly among the converts, so maybe another 5 million. So Democrats must steal between 10 and 20 million votes to win. They might, with 9 trillion dollars to spend of taxpayer dollars that went missing in the Obama administration.

The Democrat voters should be ashamed of their corrupt leadership. But they aren't. They shield themselves from the truth and that is the ultimate and corrupt anti-Constitutionalist insult. Polarization serves those who feel it is a tool to destabilize and de-legitimize society, to set up remaking society to their liking. Today those doing that are Leftists. (See James Lindsay on Critical Methods) So being critical has become their tool to increase polarization. So the movement to be anti-critical is a reaction to the movement to use excess criticism as a destabilizing tool, and the suppression of the host's desire to express himself honestly about what he may find disagreeable about the President, is a casualty of that dynamic. In effect, being so critical is effectively destructive of dialogue. Finding less critical ways of expressing what we are for, rather than what we are against, may be one way to mitigate the effect.

Is Government Reaction to Covid-19 a Threat to Civil Liberties?
TimTuolomne comments on Oct 25, 2020:
It has been clear for some time that we are beyond doubt about the nature of the threat from SARS-CoV2. It is a variant of the common cold that is no more deadly than the flu, and its novelty consists of more effectively killing those who may have already died this year of other causes, complicated by the flu, or now SARS-CoV2. It is almost no real threat to healthy people. The US Constitution provides for the TEMPORARY loss of Constitutional protection of rights, which must be justified in a timely way by demonstrating proof of a unique and existential threat. The Federal, State and Municipal governments have all failed to provide any reasonable argument for justification that might withstand scrutiny in almost any unbiased court. The fur is about to fly, and as leaders realize the risks to which they have exposed their jurisdictions, you may have noticed the softening of the lockdown. They dare not overtly admit what is true, or risk admitting culpability for even greater damage.

The US is far too large to be accountable now. Larger is not better. If minds like those who wrote the Constitution were able to influence our direction, we would make each of the 3000 plus counties into states, make the current states into nearly powerless provinces, and return the Federal government to mainly national defense and interstate commerce oversight, as originally ordained by the Constitution, and dissolve 99% of the vast unaccountable Federal bureaucracy, and transition all of that authority to the smaller, more accountable states, as it was in the colonial days. Adding Canada to our struggling, out-of control, left-leaning government would spell the end of the US in years, not the current trajectory of our demise in decades. It would be like an alcoholic adopting a non-working communist.

TimTuolomne comments on Oct 24, 2020:
Republicans are named so because they stand for the defense of the Republic, and the Constitution on which it is founded. Anyone else is a reformer, who wishes in some way to push us all off the pinnacle of human achievement that is the best protection from each other ever devised, for the sake of power usually, and distantly second, utopia. Utopians and power seekers are the perfect alliance against the Constitution. Power seekers will do whatever is necessary,. And as they are not motivated to protect the principles of the Constitution, they are free to practice whatever deception or philosophy that aligns the Utopians with them, if it helps them get elected. If you read the platforms carefully, and compare what each claims with what they actually do, it will be obvious that the Democrats are reformers exactly like that. Are all Republicans perfect? No. Human. Some will fail to stick to the principles, and having fallen from grace, may not care to admit that they are no longer Republicans. Their voting records, and the true purpose of each legislative decision are the litmus tests. But if you are going to get that from the general media, like the NYT, WaPo, MSM, CNN..., go ahead and vote Democrat, because you’ve already abandoned principle, and you are one of the actual bad guys.

Equating the State Department, which is almost entirely populated with Democrat appointees - practically the definition of the Deep State, with the Trump Administration is uninformed at best, and probably intentionally misleading propaganda by the Left. Remember that the State Department was in the middle of knowing for 13 hours that 4 Americans were under attack while they had the resources in the area to intervene, and leaving them to die in Bhengazi, while claiming there was a video inciting a spontaneous attack. I saw the cables appear on the Web in real time, and disappear almost as fast. Lets wait and find out what the President himself says. If I were a betting man, I would say he will disavow the State Department's position. However foreign relations is often far more complex than most of us know at the time. So there is also the possibility that there is some reason in a gray area for the State Department to take such a stand. For example, it might have something to do with the first time a peaceful election has occurred in the Congo since it became independent. As a nation without a Constitution like ours, and no electoral college, anyone can allege voter irregularities, and elections may not be affirmed for years.

Why is that women are less inclined to engage in politics?
TimTuolomne comments on Oct 22, 2020:
All due respect, if you follow Dr Jordan Peterson, who has done a bunch of study on the subject, the overlap of characteristics of men and women is far greater than the differences. Generally men and women share the same characteristics, with only the TENDENCIES to be different demographics. I think the majority of both men and women are disinterested in politics, and almost anything that requires analysis, and effort to uncover reliable sources. By definition, 100 is the median intelligence of human beings. So half of the population has an IQ below 100. If you are in the upper half and have met anyone in the lower half, you are impressed with how unreasonable it is to expect them to be analytical. The Left is counting on the human reaction to fear to destroy rational thought in the upper half. The lower half is easy to control using TV.

They should instead be examining the decision to lockdown. The lockdown was done by fiat, not by rational decision. It was only rational in the sense that at the time, very little was known about the level of threat. The Left immediately recognized the opportunity to fan the flames of fear - with the media first in line to reverse their miserable record of distrust by the public and boost sagging viewership. In spite of growing clear evidence that COVID-19 sweeps the deck clean of the dying more effectively than the flu, but targets almost no one else, the Left and the media continued to muddy the truth with sensational claims. The Left successfully forced the lockdown and masking down our throats, in spite of thousands of whistleblowing doctors and healthcare professionals warning us of the dangers to the healthy population of doing so. Why? Because it fits the philosophy that greater government control must be established for "our own good," whether or not we think so, and that its a good thing. Anyone who has had to deal with a Federal or State bureaucracy knows differently.

Tritium has a half-life of 12.3 years and emits a weak beta particle. The most common form of tritium is in water, since tritium and normal hydrogen react with oxygen in the same way to form water. Tritium replaces one of the stable hydrogens in the water molecule, H2O, and creates tritiated water, which is colorless and odorless. Tritium can be found in self-luminescent devices, such as exit signs in buildings, aircraft dials, gauges, luminous paints, and wristwatches. It is also used in life science research and in studies investigating the safety of potential new drugs. What is Strontium-90? Strontium-90 (Sr-90) is a radioactive isotope that is produced in nuclear fission, the splitting of an atom's center that releases energy. Sr-90 has a half-life of about 29 years and emits a beta particle as it decays. Sr-90 is used as a radioactive tracer in medical and agricultural studies. The heat generated as Sr-90 radioactively decays can be converted to electricity for long-lived, light-weight power supplies. Some examples are navigational beacons, weather stations, and space vehicles. Where do Tritium and Strontium-90 come from? Tritium is produced naturally in the upper atmosphere when cosmic rays strike air molecules. It is also produced during nuclear weapons explosions, and commercially in nuclear reactors producing electricity. Sr-90 comes from three sources: Approximately 99 percent of the Sr-90 in the environment comes from weapons testing fallout. Sr-90 takes about 29 years to lose half of its radioactivity. The fallout-based Sr-90 still remains in the environment at nominal levels because Sr-90 takes about 29 years to lose half of its radioactivity. Most of the remaining one percent of Sr-90 in the environment came from the Chernobyl accident. At individual U.S. nuclear power plants, the amount of Sr-90 released is so low that it is usually at or below the minimum detectable activity of sensitive detection equipment. How can Tritium and Strontium-90 affect me? Exposure to very small amounts of ionizing radiation is thought to minimally increase the risk of developing cancer, and the risk increases as exposure increases. Tritium is one of the least dangerous radionuclides because it emits very weak radiation and leaves the body relatively quick. Since tritium is almost always found as water, if ingested, it goes directly into soft tissues and organs. The ...

As an engineer, who can do the math, knows the facts of device efficiencies - theoretical and practical, I drive the most fuel efficient production car in the World. It is a non-hybrid gasoline engine vehicle that is a third the cost of a Prius and does not require a new $5000 battery pack every few years. Those delusional idealists out there actually think I'm lying or exaggerating, or don't know what I'm talking about when I tell them I emit less carbon than their Prius, or any other hybrid, or especially a Tesla. Anyone who can do the math can tell you that the fuel used to generate the power delivered to an outlet in your home and used to charge a Tesla results in around 38 MPG. My car routinely gets 60 MPG. Some folks feel that just because someone tells them a battery car is better, or a hybrid, or solar electric panels, that it must be true. As said Mark Twain, “It ain't what you don't know that gets you into trouble. It's what you know for sure that just ain't so.”

We have no way of knowing, until those with actual access to evidence testify under oath. Speculation is the problem that justifies claims of fake news. When one learns of things like "I Can See Your Voice," one should wonder that society is being encouraged to use their imagination over fact, speculation over evidence, and mob rule over adjudication.

Are you a fascist?
TimTuolomne comments on Oct 13, 2020:
State control of production. That is the definition of fascism. Constitutionalists are opposed to that. The Soviet Union and its satellites, Cuba, Venezuela, China, the Congo and many others are examples of state control of production. They are all some form of socialism. Those ignorant of history, and claiming anyone is facscist who disagrees with them, are not worth engaging in intelligent discussion. It would be pointless. Many people who have not bothered to read much and depend on the media to tell them what to think, believe there is nothing wrong with socialism, even though throughtout history it has been imposed at the barrel of a gun, and millions of humans have died in its maintenance. I have no respect for the closet leftists living the capitalist dream and insisting on tearing the system down. Can these people be convinced that someone else sees what they cannot, when they believe they are being fed the most intelligent and true stream of information from the media? Probably not. Will we be unique in history to avoid falling onto the abyss of destruction that comes from socialism? The odds are hugely against us.

Should billionaires give everyone $8200 cash?
TimTuolomne comments on Oct 8, 2020:
Remember Prohibition? The government tried to make us do “what is right.” Everything went underground creating a fertile environment for the Mafia to become an American phenomenon. Now imagine what billionaires with lots of resources will do when they see this coming. And they will. Long before it happens. The people they will fire if they don’t set contingencies in place will get done whatever is necessary, and it will all be on the backs of the people.

Any thoughts on this one?
TimTuolomne comments on Oct 5, 2020:
History always sides with society as it is, and not with government, as it would have us be. From Prohibition to the massive murder it took to establish Communist regimes, to the starving people in Venezuela, all governments only temporarily control any society against its will. No law should ever be made in which there is not a clear majority supporting it. Even in our Representative Republic, political sleight of hand, votes in the middle of the night, misrepresention of the true purpose of legislation, and an apathetic electorate have allowed them to get away with it. All have resulted in laws like Roe v Wade, which only serve to divide the nation, and consolidate power for its proponents. Most law, like taxes, once passed seldom are repealed.

TimTuolomne comments on Oct 5, 2020:
1. False. The Great Barrier reef is recovering nicely for almost a decade now. 2. CO2 was hundreds of times greater only a few thousand years ago, and if it falls much below today's levels, almost all plants on Earth will die. CO2 has been declining steeply for the last millenium, and the only way for plants to survive on Earth (and that means us too) is for CO2 to not decline any further. Anything we can do to increase CO2 will increase the chances of humanity making it to the year 2050. Ref: Dr Patrick Moore, formerly of Greenpeace. > 3. The highest temperature recorded on Earth was July 10, 1913. Not this year. Not last year. Not in the last ten years. "According to the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), the highest registered air temperature on Earth was 56.7 °C (134.1 °F) in Furnace Creek Ranch, California, located in the Death Valley desert in the United States, on July 10, 1913.[2][3][4]" 4. If you think the ocean is rising faster than it has been in the last 1000 years, you might want to ask the Dutch, whose Seawall Authority has a lot to lose if it is. They say the rate of rise has not significantly changed in over 100 years. Now ask yourself: "How is it that I believe these halftruths and mistruths?" You might want to question everything else your "trusted" sources are telling you too. Then ask yourself why your trusted sources didn't tell you about this: "Economist Says Global Synchronized Growth ‘Very Likely’ in 2020 “A shocking statement was made by a United Nations official Christiana Figueres at a news conference in Brussels. Figueres admitted that the Global Warming conspiracy set by the U.N.’s Framework Convention on Climate Change, of which she is the executive secretary, has a goal not of environmental activists and is not to save the world from ecological calamity, but to destroy capitalism. She said very casually: “This is the first time in the history of mankind that we are setting ourselves the task of intentionally, within a defined period of time, to change the economic development model that has been reigning for at least 150 years, since the Industrial Revolution.” She even restated that goal ensuring it was not a mistake: “This is probably the most difficult task we have ever given ourselves, which is to intentionally transform the economic development model for the first time in human history.” “

TimTuolomne comments on Oct 5, 2020:
Respectfully sir, there have been countless similar interpretations throughout the ages since the New Covenant began. Most scholars with whom I have had the privilege of conversing briefly, have told me that the “end times” refer to the darkness before the Crucifixion. And Scripture tells us clearly that we are not to know the time of the 2nd coming. We are to keep ourselves ready, as if it might be in the next minute, so we must ask ourselves “will I be acquitted RIGHT NOW by Christ before God?”

Evil wants you to believe religion is responsible. Humans are responsible. Religious organizations are no different than any other human organization. We are all corrupt to some degree, and when too large, any organization loses accountability; like the US government, the Catholic Church, China, India, even our States....Then their members do evil things that humans do, and sometimes get away with them. Making laws that try to stop crazy people by taking away the rights of law-abiding citizens - by far the majority, is tyranny. And no law stops new crazy people from being born or made, willing to hurt others without regard to their own safety. Beware of those who single out organizations as evil and fail to mention others, including their own.
