TimTuolomne comments on Mar 26, 2022:
It is called "TAKING offense" because it is always a choice. It has always been a passive-aggressive weapon to convict based on dislike, without proof or due process. Taking offense does not constitute proof of any action depriving anyone of their rights. And those who believe otherwise are either ignorant of Constitutional principles, or Communists. And in deference to our Lord Jesus Christ, intentionally speaking ill of others, in their presence or otherwise - in other words giving offense - is a very different thing, and far from walking in the Spirit.

I think human culture is like a locomotive: powerful, unable to turn and difficult to stop. The Soviet Union lasted for about 74 years, or about 3 generations. And the culture established by brutal coercion, and selecting cooperative genes by killing whole families of resistors, has resulted in propagation of the unmotivated worker; incapable of advancement, and ambition because both were culturally illegal. Putin comes from that culture, and the central planning mentality is deeply embedded in most Russians. So in a less threatening state, what exactly is the motivation of the workers toward quality control?

I believe Americans have been asleep, fat and happy since WWII, and have by their apathy given politicians a "blank check" to do exactly as they please. Now our politicians unenamored with out Constitution are so accustomed to absolute power, that they feel entitled to make their own rules without asking anyone. The solution is to be as intolerant as the "tolerant" Left. We must allow them to speak, then ferociously demean them with our own free speech. We must offend them with every fibre of our being with our obvious disgust in them. They are by their very nature and beliefs, unprincipled and weak, and will fold when they realize the depth and width of disgust for them.

TimTuolomne comments on Mar 17, 2022:
Its far more simple than that. History is full of examples of countries printing money out of thin air, and their economies first suffering inflation, then collapsing. It started with Obama and his Democrat Congress that doubled the debt the United States incurred in its entire history before him, 9 trillion dollars. Under the Constitution, the President proposes a budget, then Congress does pretty much what it wants - especially in recent history. So then the Democrat Congress continued to print money at the same rate, until Trump started to work on the Deep State, and it began to slow down. Biden accelerated printing funny money, and now we are at 30 trillion - about 15 times our GDP. Most countries historically became insolvent with spending only a few times greater than their GDP. Politics means blaming anyone convenient, and most of the public is too dumb to call them on it.

It is typical of socialist revolutions to veer right after successful regime change. After the revolutionaries have caused chaos with critical theory, so the public will accept almost anything as the price to restore order, the new leadership must also establish order or be overthrown. The result is almost always a purge of the revolutionaries. Yes, "purge" is the sanitized way of saying almost all of them get killed. So the critical theory folks in this country have that to look forward to if their destabilizing revolution succeeds in the US.

1. NATO's charter was to act as a stabilizing force against Soviet coercion. When the Soviet Union collapsed in 1991, that purpose was fulfilled, and NATO no longer had any reason to exist. Since then, many experts on Europe have characterized NATO as a destabilizing influence in Europe. And there is plenty of evidence that NATO is not some innocent bystander in countries interested in joining. 2. Mitt Romney seems to be challenging the President for who has the greater dementia. Whichever agency or individual responsible for establishing biolabs on the doorstep of one of our potential adversaries however, is treasonous, for placing the US in danger of retaliation from Russia. The existence of the biolabs has been confirmed by US officials. So those in the media claiming objectors to biolabs are spreading Russian propaganda, are the treasonous.

The only thing in the World that is not totalitarian is our Constitutional Republic, which protects our rights by limiting our government. Every other government limits the rights of its citizens. Big difference. So is there a significant distinction between fascism and communism? Only by strict definition. They are both totalitarian. Those who think there is something better than the Constitution, and are meddling with that pinnacle of human development, will ultimately learn that everything off the top of a pinnacle is down. I'm referring to Schwab and the Great Reset megalomaniacs. Our Constitution is threatened from within by Socialists, Communists, and now the Technocrats as well.

When a Republican pledges to defend the Constitution and does so, that Representative is telling you the truth. A representative who lies to you will always lie to you. The Democrat party platform promises everything. And they deliver nothing, but they are so successful at vilifying those telling the truth that half the public is disgusted with those telling the truth. The other half knows better. This commentator is probably right that there is a small cadre of folks withing the US government who actually are delusional enough to believe the US has any role at all in Ukraine, and should not allow Russia and China to retain influence in the World. As an American, I assert that they do not represent me. The United States has no business in the local conflict in Ukraine on either side, and that the US fails to at least attempt to engage Russia and China in respectful relationship at its own peril. One problem with a Representative Republic with a secure and content population, is that the representatives often do mischief in the name of the country when the population is so content that it fails to pay sufficient attention to what their leadership is doing. I will go a step further and say I think the population of the US has been so asleep since WWII, that they have allowed a cumulative morass to develop, culminating in the theft of the last election right under their noses.

Many people are still confused about the difference between a nation's internal morality and the morality it may have the luxury of practicing outside its borders. Calling the US a "militant" nation should apply to its behavior among other militant nations, but not to its internal morality. A nation's internal morality depends only on the moral covenant of its people. For most of the history of the US, it has been a moral nation internally, and was as militant externally as required to be not destroyed by other militant nations. Asserting that one nation is militant and ignoring the other militant nations involved in its militancy is at best naive, and at worst biased and contemptible. And internally we are less moral today for the same reason: we are under attack from within.

TimTuolomne comments on Mar 8, 2022:
Kotkin has the command of a massive list of facts, however I was disappointed in his preference of Ukraine and NATO prevalence, utterly without explanation or justification, as if Russia does not have the right to choose its own path. He asks where would the Russian satellite states be right now without (NATO), as if NATO had any business to interfere in their self determination. Of course their self determination might include a certain reverence for the larger power(s) most likely to affect them. But that is their business. The principles on which the US was founded include the principle of self determination. The US does not have the right to impose our preference of Constitutional Representative Republicanism on other nations - especially those culturally incompatible with such ideas. In addition, Americans are humans, just like humans everywhere. We enjoy the happy accident of the Constitution, massive resources, and for most of our history were growing. The fact that we had a civil war, terrible depressions, and awful corruption, like the McCarthy era prove that there is nothing fundamentally better about Americans. Finally, even though the US might prefer stability, many other non Constitutional Republics, have no interest in any kind of Global order. Kotkin seems unaware of his own biases about these things.

Even though we are only saved by Jesus' sacrifice, and our belief in Him, having the kind of faith that will allow me to walk on water seems beyond my capability. I try, and I believe, but I am still human and barely capable of doing the right thing. Fortunately He loves us all so much that I will be saved anyway, not by my works and mere faith, but by His love.

Big mistake. Next the State Dept will be dealing with Russia supplying Cuba, Mexico with MiGs, and China supplying Chengdu to Canada, now that we are tacitly encouraging interference with border countries of major powers by doing that ourselves.
Mass Psychosis Or Mass Obedience?

It is not a fact that the same person who wants to be led also wants to operate on their own initiative.
Are there any real national socialists today?
TimTuolomne comments on Mar 6, 2022:
Anyone can label any regime anything. The definition of socialist is: the government controls the means of production. Communist: the government owns the means of production, and the government is supposedly the people. Human nature will always prevent that from becoming a reality. Eliminating “nationalism” is the same as eliminating human nature. Socialists and Communists believe human nature can be forced to be better. History and Science disagree. That’s why socialists and communists try to assert their own version of what is ”history” and “science.”

30 trillion dollars of debt will be paid back eventually by 80 million income earners in the US. If they do that in their own lifetime, it will be by paying off a debt either by increased taxes, or decreased standard of living, of $375,000 each for no value received. No new house. No luxury boat. No vacation home... No, that money has already been distributed for you to other Americans at $600 per person per year, boondoggle projects like Haiti, which went into the Clinton Foundation coffers, billions spent to steal elections, and God knows what else. But you don't get the benefit of those proceeds, and you will still pay for all of that eventually. If you don't, the Dollar collapses. It is no longer protected as the World currency, inflation in the US makes a loaf of bread cost $1000, and no one has a job anymore. Don't believe it? There are plenty of historical examples. And you let your Congress do that.

Liberia adopted the original US Constitution almost word for word as its own, and its population was insufficiently educated, and knew almost nothing of the Great Philosophers, so they had no understanding, nor did they honor their new constitution. So it was abandoned a few years later. This is proof that a representative republic (not "democracy") under a US style Constitution will probably not be accepted almost anywhere in the World, where it is not culturally normal. The Constitution was barely adopted in the US, because of the cultural differences between the South and those embedded in the new Constitution. That seed of discord was to erupt into civil war less than 100 years later. Finally, as DeToqeville predicted, those who have discovered how to manipulate the system to vote themselves the goodies, are slowly eroding the US Constitution, while privileged, fat, happy and asleep Americans, having lost their comprehension that the destruction of their protected rights matter, have allowed it to happen for the last 80 years. The Constitution IS the most significant governance in human history, but only if the population understands its value. And a representative republic under such a revered document is NOT the same as every other tyrannical government. If you have read the Constitution, and understand the history of its creation, that should be obvious. Defenders of totalitarian regimes wish to assert that it is no different to justify their own totalitarian regime.

Short memory. In 2005, Al Gore predicted Washington DC completely under water by 2010. Oops. Insanity is repeating an ineffective action ad nauseum. Go to the Dutch Seawall Authority for data by the country with the most to lose if the ocean rises. You can see that the ocean level rate of change has not varied significantly in the last 100 years.
