The only reason the Dollar has not already collapsed is that it is artificially supported as the World Currency. As an engineer, familiar with the materials problems always plaguing the endless and costly Tokamak projects, I am surprised that they achieved that much energy output without blowing themselves up. And I have to note that the energy required to heat the gasses to plasma and confine it is still at least a magnitude higher than the energy output - which the article seems to have neglected to mention. Materials advances an “inch at a time” will never get there, and unless some completely unimagined physics is discovered governing those materials, I do not see that as the solution. That’s a lot of “maybe” to spend billions on…unless you’re a nuclear physicist who likes working. I recall a colleague telling me that I should apply to the Princeton Tokamak project. He would see that I got hired. I asked if it wasn’t purely political and only token technical, and that everyone must eventually fail and get fired, and he said “Sure…so what? Its the highest paying boondoggle around! And the prestige of working on the project means you can join any kind of project like that afterward. You know the greenies will never let them end.” I did not apply. I remain skeptical that a Tokamak design will achieve positive and stable power output in my lifetime, it has cost us and others hundreds of billions of dollars, and it has diverted funding from research on more promising technologies such as fuel cells.

In our church, missionaries willing to serve in Muslim lands are sometimes killed, and far more often report thousands of Muslims converting to Christianity when they see and understand the love Christians have for ALL their brothers and sisters on Earth. Especially when they witness Christians’ obvious hopeful delight in going Home in the cases where they lose their lives serving Jesus by sharing the Gospel. Muslims sometimes realize the difference between Christians willing to die for love of Jesus just as He died for humanity, and their fearful brethren facing death by suicide vest, etc. to kill other people. Those stories spread like wildfire among Muslims there, and hundreds convert. I have heard many different versions of stories like that told in our church by former Muslims and missionaries. I have also read of many theological scholars of different faiths converting after they studied the resurrection. Personally, I believe it takes an intentionally and seriously closed mind not to understand the miracle of our redemption through Jesus. The fact that those face to face with the reality of Muslim hate and Christian Love are converted, should be persuasive to an open mind and heart.

A "racist" will contend that there is a significant difference between people based only on their skin pigmentation, which any intelligent person will understand as completely foolish.
