RobBlair comments on Sep 24, 2019:
If they stole the money then they should be held accountable for their actions. No magic blue suit. The municipality should provide appropriate insurance, representation and time for defense preparation. In some cases perhaps the jurisdiction should take the place of the defendant. But, in all cases, illegal behavior should be punished. This ruling is bad for a law abiding system and, if it holds, which it won't, will drive a wedge between us and our employees who protect us. I look forward to Clarence Thomas's opinion when he tosses this extra judicial garbage. Good cops should be cherished and bad cops should be spurned.

That internet in our pocket provides access to numerous translations of the Bible, commentary, scholarly reviews, long format interviews and sermons. The Russian false news campaign is nothing compared to the MSM's propaganda machine. But, we no longer have to imbibe and evidence to their malfeasance is documented for all to see. Its important to recognize Obama's accomplishments: - First black president - Osama Bin Laden is dead - commissioned action against Somali Pirates It's short, but he deserves it. As for turbulent waters, how does it compare now to what you remember after returning from your service abroad? I'd caution that our access to media amplifies the negative and we need to take time to step back and recognize the amazing strides being made against poverty. As for the promised land, let us set our eyes on our home and stride purposely in that direction.

Given a choice between forwarding American foreign interests or forwarding human rights, which is the correct choice? Perhaps Bernie is correct in demanding that the US surrender political capital and require India to recognize Kashmir's independence. But is it truly appropriate to demand action of our ally over their local issues? I didn't know anything about Kashmir until I just looked it up. Now I know next to nothing. Would it not be better to show our ally the advantages we have by respecting our own human rights? To that end I suggest we stop conflating health care with human rights. Health care providers are not our slaves and pretending that their labor should be forced under our direction in order to promote human rights is an absurdity that only a 78 year socialist who lives in a free country could hold.

"Millan was an “immigration fugitive” at the time of his arrest, Neudauer said. “He has a prior criminal history that includes misdemeanor offenses,” the spokesman said. “In 2011, a federal immigration judge granted him voluntary departure,” and Millan returned to Mexico, he said. “However, five days after he returned to Mexico, he was encountered by immigration officials after he illegally re-entered the United States under an assumed name. He was issued an expedited removal order and removed (deported) from the US.” Millan was deported Wednesday evening, according to ICE spokeswoman Nicole Alberico. Hoyt says that, with the exception of a parking ticket that led to Millan’s voluntary deportation in 2011, he had no other legal issues. “He had a parking ticket in ’07 but that other than that nothing,” she told CNN." - https://fox2now.com/2019/07/26/ice-smashed-a-car-window-to-arrest-an-undocumented-man-his-girlfriend-says-they-never-saw-a-warrant/ If you don't like the laws, vote for them to be changed. A glimpse of how UK politicians have been debating/arguing over Brexit..
RobBlair comments on Sep 6, 2019:
Would love to hear them talk about Brexit. I guess UK is going to the yellow man bad routine. "We have a democracy so lets not vote more than every 5 years"? It will take 1 minute to convince all 5 of the Scots to return to the EU. OK, still don't care about JJ at 10 minutes in. Here's the problem - you can't make a deal with a committee. Either give a single person the power to make the deal or drop your pants and bend over a desk. 47:00 Compromise on Brexit? Wow, obvious answer to misguided question. So the will of the people will continue to be usurped by the elites. 72% of registered voters voted 52% towards leaving the EU. Apparently it is non-binding.

Trump isn't "letting" them, he's egging them on. They think they can fly off the edge of a cliff and Mr. T is right there telling them "Go ahead, you can fly, I dare you."
