@guru a (possibly amusing aside) some chick at work (smoke show, hot damn) challenged me to do a 5 K charity run. Did the math, hmm thats roughly 3 miles. Said "sure durr heh heh slobber" So I started to train. We had two months before the event in Central Park. Hit the Stairmaster an hour a night. Treadmill on incline running top speed, lower the incline every 15 min, take a breath and raise it again, over and over at least 90 min, drenched in sweat but I knew one thing, She was never gonna beat me to the Finish Line, don't care if we came in last, I surely was gonna place before her, though the view of her behind was not a problem Long story short, the day of the run she called me to cancel, some bullshit, her husband just got out of jail, her sister's giving birth, some crap. All that 5K trainiing for naught. Well, guess it wasn't naught, I was in great shape but I digress

For the record, I *have* been to Mexico, granted it was the early 1980's and at the time both Acapulco and Mexico City were FAR from shitholes, quite the contrary, 4 to 5 star hotels, beautiful beaches (OK, the privately owned chunks of beaches in front of the hotels were patrolled by machine gun ...

@A1fredo Holy shit! I'm elite now? Wow feels good man. Bullshit, My wife and I were just international tourists. Were we Elite if we went to Canada? Or France? No, just Tourists. Are Guatamalans or Mexicans Elite if they come here (well. I guess maybe with papers or passports they might be) And from what I've heard from international friends, those elite resorts are disasters now

@EgyptianRedpill The craftmanship was magnificent, no fuggin doubt and the treasure rooms must have been beyond comprehension to mere mortals. I saw Tut's Expo in NYC back in like 1980 or so, unbelievable artifacts. Ah, but here comes the But... but only because his tomb was hidden from looters, buried away, the bearers of goods, the torch lighters the heiroglyphic scribes the coffin bearers slain, and then the guys who killed them were killed by other guys back in camp so no locations were known.
