As a Christian who believes the Biblical teachings about human origins, namely that human beings came about by descent from two original human beings created by God, one male (Adam) and one female (Eve), the two of whom, for all I know, having looked a lot more like a black or brown couple than a white one, I question the way we speak of race from the outset. I believe there is really only one race, the human race, however much diversity there is among human beings, and that there is no basis for any particular pride among any of the various groups of people, however we might categorize them. Besides, I ultimately give God, the Creator, all the credit for anything good that has come from anyone, anywhere, at any time.
