This has been going on for over 20 years that I am aware of, 99% female teachers at the local govt primary school(under 11 here ) were more concerned with the kids bringing fake toy guns and anything they deemed a weapon on dress up fun days than teaching the kids how to spell, read ,write or do their arithmatic .We are still deciphering their grammar now . Due to certain teachers ,I wont name them to protect the guilty, they had more education in Aboriginal Fire Smoking ceremonies and dreamtime stories, where incidently they did learn something ,that it was a great time to get outside the classroom and run amok, especially for the boys.
