Hanno comments on Nov 18, 2019:
It starts with people not understanding the difference between a postulate/hypothesis and a theory. In common language we use the word theory when we actually mean postulate or hypothesis. Therefore the general public does not appreciate what goes into turning a hypothesis into a theory in the scientific method process. Anthropological Climate Change is a Hypothesis. Where as the Gravity, Evolution, Relativity etc are all theories. Very big difference. Much confusion caused by politicians and media who pretends Climate Change has reached Theory level, when it is at best a model.

There are MILLIONS of undocumented migrants in South Africa.
Hanno comments on Nov 16, 2019:
In 2005 already Dep of Home Affairs reported that there were over 20 million more legal entries into the country than legal exists out the country between 1995 and 2005. So from just legal immigration, there are over 20 million people not accounted for. Then you add the non legal entries. The current claim of a total population of 54 is nonsense. It is at least 80 million. And they wonder why Eskom and public water is collapsing.
Powerful sculpture.

It always fascinated me how EVERYBODY hates Jews. And also how history repeats itself. I mean, they have been hated, hunted or killed by communists, capitalists, Christians, Muslims, the far right and far left, blacks, whites, asians, homosexuals... the list just goes on. It is a very dark time that only 75 years after the holocaust we somehow forgot and it became acceptable to be anti-semetic.

Hanno comments on Nov 3, 2019:
Souls do not exist. Never have and never will. You can replace “soul” with “ life purpose “ or “meaning”, yes, that is important and must never be lost. But a soul as a seperate thing that exist into eternity, no. We should be honest and call things what they are. Soul = made up BS. Life Purpose = vital for each one of us we need to contemplate and evaluate throughout our lives.

Hanno comments on Nov 2, 2019:
You only have to look at the specific cases. Mediocre male athletes become champions as soon as they trans. They have the right chemical make up, yet they are champions. Statistically that is simply not possible. The changes from womb to the age 12 already sets boys in a different class. The following 12 years are even more important. Sure, transgenders become weaker, however they still have a significant advantage over real woman. All you are doing is destroying woman’s sport. Replacing beautiful woman with ugly men... who wants to watch and support that?

Unbelievable that a man I used to dislike and laugh at so much in the past has became so important for everyone of us... non-Americans included. Hanno comments on Oct 26, 2019:
There is an “open” class and anyone can compete in that class... this is today known as “men’s” this and “men’s” that. So any man or woman or transgender can compete with men if they want to. Then we have special classes, “woman’s”,and you need to be a woman to qualify, “deaf” and you need to have certain level of hearing loss and “paraplegic” with divisions for various limb loss. We have even special classes for low IQ people. Why not a special class for transgenders? Economics will dictate how popular it will be. This may sound sexist to say “woman’s” is a special class, but it is.

Contrary to popular believe, many “conservatives” are not against transgender people. We believe people should have the right to believe what you want and do as you please as long as you do not hurt others or yourself. It is when you decide your rights are more important than mine or your belief is more valid than my belief (or in my case non-belief), that’s when the problems start.
Well some of us have the rest still think.
Hanno comments on Oct 23, 2019:
I often ask myself that question... how much do I actually think? What are the basis of my thinking? Jordan Peterson describes this very well: Critical thought is having two opposing ideas in your head at the same time while fully understanding that both ideas could be wrong. The first time I did that when I was 19 and then again when I was 32. The second time I solved the problem. It took me three years and was very painful, however changed my life. Now I try to practice it whenever I can. It is still painful sometimes as the internal conflict and created dissonance is tough to deal with. However without it you cannot get an understanding of the problem and never grow.

A lot of (predictable) unhappiness about the religion comment. Faith is in essence believing something without evidence. Bible is very clear on that and other religions imply that as well. Else it would just be mainstream truth we all know and live by. And that is the issue I think Edge is trying to raise here. Ideology based on believe with no evidence is just your own religion... and you are about as useful as a religion extremist who believed his personal faith trumps anyone else’s or actual facts. If you take offence to that then maybe you need to think about what you believe in and why. We accept this from religious people because they state that in all honesty. We do not from non religious people as they claim not to do so. Edgework is trying to show the hypocrisy of the left inasmuch they claim not to believe without evidence, yet everything they do shows believe with no evidence.
A powerful part of Jordan Peterson’s teaching is his challenge — in the face of unfairness, pain...
Hanno comments on Oct 18, 2019:
I think the issue is two fold: 1. that a small group of people got very rich doing very little (property investors who ride a property boom etc), and then talented people who became disproportionately rich (actors and sports people etc). This created the illusion that anyone and everyone should be that rich for doing little, not just the lucky few who planned ahead or the extremely talented. China has created a lot of consumables at very low cost by utilising very cheap labour. There is now a disconnect between the actual value of things. Everyone is addicted to cheap goods made in an unsustainable way. Similarly fertiliser and herbicides/pesticides made food very cheap and we live easy luxurious lives without realising it. The concept of a hard days labour has all but disappeared. It has been replaced with unrealistic expectation. No one understand how much actual work goes into giving us the great lives we live today. And some one still has to do that work.
It's sad.

Hanno comments on Sep 4, 2019:
SJW are not a joke. They are at the forefront of the propaganda war fought by those who want to destroy that what made Western, Japanese and South Korean civilisations great. That what used to make the Arab civilisation great in the Middle Ages and what every other successful civilisation share in history. That is personal responsibility, family, hard work and respect for others. SJW wants all the rewards of that, but none of the effort it requires. Because they are either too lazy, stupid or indoctrinated to succeed, they need to break down those who do, so that they can feel better about themselves and there shortcomings are not so glaringly obvious to everyone. SJW are used by those who want to control and force their views and ideas on everyone, while they know they cannot defend their views in honest discussion. You laugh and ridicule at them at your own peril. The harm they are doing is very real and will only get worse. Talk to young University students and see how close minded they have become. They are the future leaders and completely unable to think critically.
Madebyjimbob: Moral relativism offers no basis on which to make moral value judgments.
Hanno comments on Aug 22, 2019:
Objective absolute morals and duties does not exist. Morals, like all human inventions are subjective. 200 years ago slavery was morally acceptable. Today it is not. 100 years ago sex with pre 18 yr old was a acceptable. Now it is not. In some parts of the world above two examples are still considered moral. Other parts not. Subjective to the believes and standards of that part of the world. My morals are different to yours and they are subjective to what we believe etc... You prove the point by claiming that absolute morals require a higher being... hence until you can prove the existence of a higher being, there are no absolute morals. And yes, my morals are just as valid as yours, since they are both subjective.

Considering how important his message is, this is very unfortunate. He does state many times he does not believe in gods, however he come over as very Christian-centric. I wish he could use other religions or think-schools more. I know he is a big fan of Taoism and use it a lot in his works. Myself, I am Christian rooted and studied other religions only superficially, so what I am asking is not fair I know. The West, Capitalism, Free markets, personal choice and the accompanying personal responsibility, have been too successful. Socialism, Communism, group think and group responsibility has failed everywhere. Marxist proponents have nothing to argue their ideology. Therefore they have to create issues such as these to recruit children at universities. Just the other day a jr lecturer at a EU University tried to explain to me how all the worlds problems can be laid at the feet of Western society, especially white males. Once we started to discuss it became clear she had no actual understanding of cause and effect and were completely ignorant on basic history.
