This is misleading. The ruling of the case that created this actually ordered the opposite. The Kiribati man who wanted climate change refugee status in NZ was denied and sent back home by the UN. He could not show that his life was in imminent danger due to climate change. The warning was that if refugees could show actual life threat due to climate change, they need to be accepted. Pretty much the same case as with war or prosecution. If they cannot, you send them back, as what happened in this case.

They turned out to be prisoners who got a one way ticket to Africa to come and build roads and bridges in Africa. China turned parts of Africa into penal colonies similar to Australia in the 1800’s. There is no intention of returning those prisoners to China. In return for this free labour, rich Chinese get to immigrate to these countries with all the rights and privileges of citizens.

Correlation vs causation. Women who have abortion for non medical reasons, lives are likely already a mess and therefor more likely to commit suicide already. So both having abortions and being suicidal are both effects caused by poor socio-economic and cultural societies. Although I would agree that having an abortion is very traumatic for any woman and may drive someone over the edge... the actual cause is deeper.

Interesting article... it claims races does not exist and then it goes and show and confirm that races do exist. I am pretty anti-racism however to claim that there are not different groups of people or races as such is racist in itself. It is part of what makes humans so interesting. Differentiation into the race is the first small step in the long journey of speciation. Humans were probably the first specie to successfully stop that from happening with our developed abilities for everyone to travel everywhere and therefor we are stopping this environment induced differentiation. The different races is something to be celebrated and appreciated... just as culture.

It is easy to say the US should not have been there. However, nothing to do with the soldiers who did as they were told and believed they were doing the right thing. Korea showed it is not that simple to make the call to intervene or not. People saying in hindsight the interventions in Vietnam and Angola etc was wrong, should go and ask the Koreans if they appreciate the intervention they received.

Dunno about the States, but here in NZ no one gets prosecuted for USING Meth. Only if you are caught in possession they will do anything. Then, if it is less than 100 mg you are a user and everyone feels sorry for you and no prosecution. If more than 100 mg then you are a dealer and you receive 6 severe slaps with a wet bus ticket. If you also are a drug addict and a a dealer... we all feel very sorry for you and you only get 2 soft slaps with a wet bus ticket.
