This happened to me after counter protesting BLM at Brighton John St police station. I was arrested on a section 5 breach of the peace charge. They held me for 2 nights, in the worst cell they had, according to the guy who escorted me to court. When we finally went to trial they added, 'possession of an offensive weapon', a can of spray paint, and 'assault on an emergency worker'. Apparently, backing away from an officer trying to arrest you, is an assault, on an emergency worker! Their own body cam footage proved 2 of the officers lied when one said I shouted "FUCKING STAY AWAY FROM ME OR I'LL FUCKING SPRAY YOU!!!", when I merely said 'get back'. The second officer claimed I stopped and got a spray can out of my back pack, before pointing it at him. The video showed I was holding the can for the entire episode. OOPS, nearly forgot. Luckily my judge was not as partisan as my charging officer, and merely rebuked me for my boorish behaviour.
