Happy to accept Sydney's invitation!
In a local government symposium, I once identified myself as Caucasian. The African-American across from me told me I could not be Caucasian because it was highly unlikely that I could prove I had any ancestors from the Caucas Mountains. This conversation took place in Montgomery, Alabama in 95.
Since that time on the U.S. Census I have checked OTHER and filled in the blank with EUROPEAN-ATLANTIC-AMERICAN.
I am B4theWALL61, a 60-year-old, Caucasian, heterosexual male, married to a 60-year-old, Caucasian, heterosexual female, who lives near Nashville, Tennessee.
I am quite tired of being the "White" punching bag for every ethnic minority and sexually confused LGBTQIA-PPP (perverts, pedophiles, priests).
