Maybe this will get some engagement. What does everyone think of the new Happy Homelands so far? Styx as co-host? New time change? Flow of the show and length of it? Time devoted to super-chats versus just talking and leaving super-chats until the end instead of earlier in the show? The only one person reads the superchats and not both co-hosts. Please be respectful and include full views both positive thoughts or constructive criticism. I hope this one can get 5 or 6 responses.

Robert100 states:

“My practical issues with Principled Libertarians thinking. Relates to Styx but all Libertarians seem to be this way. Some of my disagreements with him here.”

  1. "Because government is always bad and taxes are always too high...”

If some people are deceived by words such as “government,” then some people may think the thoughts, and say the words, stated above. Some people are not deceived by words. If Principled Libertarians apply Libertarian Principles, then government is Voluntary Mutual Defense Association, and the taxes are investments as are any other transfers of wealth in a Voluntary Association.

Example:

"It was a principle of the Common Law, as it is of the law of nature, and of common sense, that no man can be taxed without his personal consent. The Common Law knew nothing of that system, which now prevails in England, of assuming a man’s own consent to be taxed, because some pretended representative, whom he never authorized to act for him, has taken it upon himself to consent that he may be taxed. That is one of the many frauds on the Common Law, and the English constitution, which have been introduced since Magna Carta. Having finally established itself in England, it has been stupidly and servilely copied and submitted to in the United States.

"If the trial by jury were reëstablished, the Common Law principle of taxation would be reëstablished with it; for it is not to be supposed that juries would enforce a tax upon an individual which he had never agreed to pay. Taxation without consent is as plainly robbery, when enforced against one man, as when enforced against millions; and it is not to be imagined that juries could be blind to so self-evident a principle. Taking a man’s money without his consent, is also as much robbery, when it is done by millions of men, acting in concert, and calling themselves a government, as when it is done by a single individual, acting on his own responsibility, and calling himself a highwayman. Neither the numbers engaged in the act, nor the different characters they assume as a cover for the act, alter the nature of the act itself.

"If the government can take a man’s money without his consent, there is no limit to the additional tyranny it may practise upon him; for, with his money, it can hire soldiers to stand over him, keep him in subjection, plunder him at discretion, and kill him if he resists. And governments always will do this, as they everywhere and always have done it, except where the Common Law principle has been established. It is therefore a first principle, a very sine qua non of political freedom, that a man can be taxed only by his personal consent. And the establishment of this principle, with trial by jury, insures freedom of course; because:

"1. No man would pay his money unless he had first contracted for such a government as he was willing to support; and,

"2. Unless the government then kept itself within the terms of its contract, juries would not enforce the payment of the tax. Besides, the agreement to be taxed would probably be entered into but for a year at a time. If, in that year, the government proved itself either inefficient or tyrannical, to any serious degree, the contract would not be renewed.

"The dissatisfied parties, if sufficiently numerous for a new organization, would form themselves into a separate association for mutual protection. If not sufficiently numerous for that purpose, those who were conscientious would forego all governmental protection, rather than contribute to the support of a government which they deemed unjust.

"All legitimate government is a mutual insurance company, voluntarily agreed upon by the parties to it, for the protection of their rights against wrong-doers. In its voluntary character it is precisely similar to an association for mutual protection against fire or shipwreck. Before a man will join an association for these latter purposes, and pay the premium for being insured, he will, if he be a man of sense, look at the articles of the association; see what the company promises to do; what it is likely to do; and what are the rates of insurance. If he be satisfied on all these points, he will become a member, pay his premium for a year, and then hold the company to its contract. If the conduct of the company prove unsatisfactory, he will let his policy expire at the end of the year for which he has paid; will decline to pay any further premiums, and either seek insurance elsewhere, or take his own risk without any insurance. And as men act in the insurance of their ships and dwellings, they would act in the insurance of their properties, liberties and lives, in the political association, or government.

"The political insurance company, or government, have no more right, in nature or reason, to assume a man’s consent to be protected by them, and to be taxed for that protection, when he has given no actual consent, than a fire or marine insurance company have to assume a man’s consent to be protected by them, and to pay the premium, when his actual consent has never been given. To take a man’s property without his consent is robbery; and to assume his consent, where no actual consent is given, makes the taking none the less robbery. If it did, the highwayman has the same right to assume a man’s consent to part with his purse, that any other man, or body of men, can have. And his assumption would afford as much moral justification for his robbery as does a like assumption, on the part of the government, for taking a man’s property without his consent. The government’s pretence of protecting him, as an equivalent for the taxation, affords no justification. It is for himself to decide whether he desires such protection as the government offers him. If he do not desire it, or do not bargain for it, the government has no more right than any other insurance company to impose it upon him, or make him pay for it.

"Trial by the country, and no taxation without consent, were the two pillars of English liberty, (when England had any liberty,) and the first principles of the Common Law. They mutually sustain each other; and neither can stand without the other. Without both, no people have any guaranty for their freedom; with both, no people can be otherwise than free."
Lysander Spooner, Essay on The Trial by Jury

“...all Libertarians seem to be this way.”

Does is matter that the statement can be demonstrated as a false statement?

Just made this account after you made the video "Goodbye Twitter!" and wanted to give my 2 cents. I came over when styx uploaded a video saying he was doing a show with you so i can't say much about how the girl was. I like styx as a co host. I think superchats can sometimes get in the way of a fun topic but it can also get you out of a shitty one. Just needs more perfection, timing. The length of the show is perfect in my opinion! 1 hour to 1h 30m. I like you 2 as a duo and one only doing superchats is fine. I for some reason like it. Especially when occasionally chat says something you don't understand and styx laughs. brings for some comedic effect. doesn't mean i don't encourage experimenting with the show. Try some stuff out if you got any. If i don't forget i'll check these posts once in a while.

See ya Ramsey!

(english from a dutchmen. Hopefully i did it well)

Styx is awesome! The @ramzpaul and he do well together, I think. I enjoy it a lot.

Paul, I will admit to you that I was very upset with your stance on Covid 19 and the loss of Tiina. I unsubscribed from your channel in protest. But now, after some sober afterthought, I'm stating to see the error of my ways and have subscribed once again because I really like your posts. I am really starting to see the dark side of this pandemic and feel that it is a huge plot to get us all in line. Everyone thought that it was going to be a couple of weeks in self quarantine and then it would be all over. Now of course, we are still locked up after months and they keep saying that nothing will go back to normal until a vaccine. That is the last thing I want. I was wrong to disagree with you and I take back the couple of posts I made damning you for things that you said. On a side note, I was very happy to see Faith on your show. We love the girl.

Thanks for the kind reply.

I like the new show with Styx better. I was also frustrated with her views on Covid. It's fine to disagree with people but to go trashing your co-host behind his back is pretty shitty in my opinion. She also came off as fake to me. Styx at least seems genuine. I think part of the problem with the super chats is they don't always come until the show is closing. It's also hard to see to read them. The print on streamlabs is very tiny. I do think the guests are good. I think it's a nice change.

I never knew what Tiina was like behind the scenes that is true. I feel her views are genuine but never knew what her relationship with Paul was and was she a genuine friend to him. One way she did not match Paul was sense of humor as she reminds me of those Russians who rarely laugh or smile or make a joke. It is all serious all the time. Hosting 2 shows probably highlighted this as Happy Homelands and Happy Homes with no guests on either felt like the exact same show and no change. The only thing I really find boring about Styx is he is like a Sean Hannity in Republicans are always right, Democrats are always wrong which I just find boring. Trump is attacking Jeff Sessions as we speak for personal foibles and Sessions is probably the best shot we have at an America first immigration policy from a Senator. Ann Coulter is even blasting Trump for this but Styx seems to have an orgasm for Trump or something. Never one critical thing about the man ever. Even James Allsup was nailing this with him. I actually like the debate about Trumps record because it gets people talking about him and what he has done. Saying oh the democrats are just worse than he is not a pro Trump argument. From others I want a Pro Trump argument on his record and then the facts of that can be debated.

I was glad when RamZ announced the change from Tiina to Styx because I was frustrated with her views on the response to Covid 19. She seemed fine with indefinite lockdowns, loss of liberty and she got a bit condescending over it. Tiina’s accent is so thick, I couldn’t always get everything she said and she always had a lot to say. The show with Styx however seems on a tight time constraint. I agree with the points about Superchats. Tiina was conscientious about helping RamZ read and not miss any. The pace of their Saturday Happy Homelands was just more..leisurely. The past two shows with Jared Taylor and Faith Goldy have made me miss the show format with Tiina. Styx lives in the Netherlands, a country that’s been a hot bed of Islamic radicalism and alarming demographic changes, I’ve not heard him comment on either. At this point, I’d prefer a rotation of Saturday co-hosts. I do like Sacha on the Wednesday show.

Well said Carrie. The pacing does seem off. It seems like a rush to get done. A question that says for the panel means for everyone to answer not one person to just take it and answer. Also unless specified for the guest Styx can always jump in and answer a question but he just seems so passive unless its about libertarian economics he never answers it. His best appearance was the Laura Loomer show where he engaged as a host, but the Scott Greer one he barely spoke, and this one with Faith similar. I always thought when a show gets more chats they can no longer wait the entire show and then read them. Better to have 2 segments read them maybe 25 minutes into the show and then 45 minutes do it, that way they don't bunch up so much and then feel like someone is running through them so fast without even caring about answering them. Fuentes used to have this issue before he was booted from Youtube. I never understood the newfound Trump worship or Republican worhsip either. Really to me Trump has pretty much been a colossal failure on so many things. Tech censorship he never even tries to help his supporters not even one time, and he could frame it as a free speech issue not a Im defending Nick Fuentes issue which puts him at risk. Trump deficit spending, his non action on immigration which was the only reason people I know voted for him. His tax cuts for the super rich. His foreign policy moves. Bashing Democrats is fine but just so pro Republican now with no critiques of Donald Trump anymore. I also do not even get these guarantees he will win in the fall, I see many polls showing him losing even to Joe Biden. Michigan is a state he won by like 300 votes for sure that goes Democrat this time. One other thing I hear oh if you give him this 2nd term all of this stuff is coming. Reagan, W Bush, Obama the 2nd terms produced nothing and were basically lame duck sessions. I would picture the slim chance Trump has at winning produces nothing in the 2nd term at all. I welcome all debates and part of slug is I am fine with being challenged but this site seems so dead nothing ever happens so. I just think Fox News has the defend Republicans and CON INC at all costs meme down.

We all like Sacha. She is great.

@Robert100 it’s all so personal with Trump. He continues to bait and bash Jeff Sessions. Ok we get it, the man should have resigned rather than recuse but I think most of us have bigger fish to fry than the Russian hoax. Sessions is better on the very issues Trump campaigned on in 2016 but POTUS just can’t get over himself. Then there’s the way he backhanded Gov. Brian Kemp (still smarting over Kemp not appointing Doug Collins to open senate seat) and POTUS’ retweeting a hit piece against Sweden. Let’s face it, Trump has been one of the biggest panic porn pimps out there. I’m not sure of his angle, I could try and surmise but it’d take too long. Finally after all this time and indoor press briefings, in the last week or so, there’s Fauci and Birx in the Rose Garden behind Trump wearing masks. The Steve Deace show has been on fire these past several weeks. There are part of Blaze tv on podcast and YouTube, they’re conservative Christians from Iowa but they have definitely given voice to those of us questioning the Covid security state. They can be really funny too, important. Just one more good source of info because Fox News overall is in line with the WH. Although Trump whines about their coverage. Even Tucker Carlson is careful not to criticize Trump too directly. I get it with every other major news outlet’s 24/7 Trump derangement syndrome, they feel they must counterbalance. So we move on to other sources for news, information and entertainment.

@CarriePCox
So true Carrie. Jeff Sessions is the absolute best on immigration. I would beg Trump to bury the hatchet. I also am blowing some steam over lock-down stuff so I overall do not hate or dislike Styx but feel maybe he has such an army of Trump supporter fans he avoids ever criticize the man. Ramz is a good debater and knows a lot and I do not think agrees with Styx on the Trump worship but I don't know I guess your right Carrie the 24/7 attacks makes people defend him. I just wish a few Trump critiques could come in there. I do think Styx helps bring in more guests. My favorite 2 episodes overall since he has been there were Scott Greer and Gavin Mcinnes. Laura Loomer was Styx best appearance as co host I thought where he was most engaged.

I like Tiina. And I appreciate all her work on the show.

The reason for the change had nothing to do with Styx. It just so happened that the timing worked out. I believe that she is now on DLIVE with an English speaking show called Out Of Line with Junes. I wish her the best.

@ramzpaul Even now Trump says he will declare Antifa a terrorist organization as of yet no action no Antifa Leaders arrested no RICO charges, just pathetic. Trump is all talk no action on so many things. I give him an F.

@Robert100 he’s seems like a lost baby lion. Tweeting all tough. Let’s just see. For all intents, the GOP has bended the knee, so I have no idea what they’re gonna do with Antifa/BLM/riffraff

Great topic!

So far, I have been happy with the new format. With Styx, we have been able to get a broader range of guests. The time is not ideal, but we have constraints due to Styx living in Europe.

@ramzpaul It seems no topic can engage this audience. I wish people who never post would be excluded from the 100 bucks haha. Well almost 500 members now but still all posts seem to get 1 response or less.

My practical issues with Principled Libertarians thinking. Relates to Styx but all Libertarians seem to be this way. Some of my disagreements with him here.

  1. Because government is always bad and taxes are always too high if Jeff Bezos is on the way to be a trillionaire and with the entire US GDP being 20 trillion Bezos alone as 1 man would have the net worth of 1/20th the GDP of the entire US. For Styx the principle states taxes are always too high so we allow this.

  2. If capitalism is all about competition then Amazon becoming a monopoly should go against capitalism and Styx ideology but again Government always bad so even regulating monopolies the Sherman Anti Trust law we needed against Rockefeller cannot be done because muh government always bad.

  3. The border. Often and Styx is right because our government never did its just for so long it is very hard for the US to ever get the demographics anywhere near where it was in say 1980. I however still feel government could take steps to reduce immigration legal and illegal now and punish businesses who hire illegals. I would also like us to do like Hungary and try to incentivize birthrates in our population.

  4. Hispanics have voted for 40 or 50 years majority Democrat and the most pandering GOP candidate ever John Mccain could at most muster 31 percent of the Hispanics vote. Arguing oh Hispanics could be natural GOP voters and its only short term trends that make them lean Democrat is such a joke.

  5. 2016 election was a landslide?? Trump lost the popular vote by over 3 million votes. I know of no person passed 1rst grade math who would say losing a vote by 3 million votes counts as winning in a landslide.

  6. Everything being socialism or communism. Tax rates in 1950 America were 90 percent on the top marginal earners, now 35 percent. Nobody says oh America was socialist in 1950. The main fear of especially communism is government ownership of industry. Especially farms and factories. As of now America really has none of this and even Obamacare is not a full take over of healthcare by the government. A single payer system would be that.

  7. Always bashing government to me means you have to equally way big business and private sectors screw-ups and not just blame government for everything they screw up. Privatized police and fire departments would be a disaster too because they would then only work for a profit.

8 I understand Styx shies away from racial or identity issues but he could say something. It could even be a small uncontroversial statement on these and it seems weird. Not sure if he thinks all these things but fears mentioning them may ruin his image.

  1. If we just wanted to see Trump ass kissing Fox News and Sean Hannity is there. You-tube personalities is all about saying something a Fox News Host would never say. Trump has failed his base on the following.

A. Immigration policy- No wall no reduction really in illegals, no reduction in legal immigration dumb rhetoric like more immigrants than ever before but just as long as their legal. No executive order on birthright citizenship.

B. Foreign Policy- Israel first strikes in Syria, making Jerusalem the capital of Israel or moving the embassy there.

C. Tech censorship and free speech issues- More than half of Trumps support has been kicked off, heckled, deplatformed off of multiple Silcon Valley applications thanks to the ADL and Trump does nothing. His constant monitoring the situation Bullshit is merely that Bullshit. Total proof he is all talk.

D. Spending and deficits- Pretty odd Styx a fiscal libertarian loves a guy who increased the debt from 17 trillion when he took office to 25 TRILLION Now. His yearly deficits are 1 trillion per year. This is the worst fiscal conservatism I have ever seen.

The Trump ass kissing and never being critical of him ever has totally changed and is just weird Trump is not your boyfriend and deserves some criticism for fucks sake. Fox News kisses his ass 24/7 and nobody watches it in our group because we want something different.

@Robert100 It could be a bit tl;dr-ey dude. Plus your wall of text could use some edits. Not criticizing... just sayin'....... Maybe pair it down a bit. or focus on one subject at a time. I have trouble with typing too fast and not editing, myself. I know how it goes when your mind races along. You obviously have a lot on your mind, but people might have some trouble getting the lay of such a vast land.
