If it was not for family or friends, I would be back in Hungary. America seems like a madhouse in comparison.

I've been starting to think that also. I could probably sell my house and buy a better one in Hungary for less than 1/5 of what it's worth and live comfortably on the rest.
I'm not sure why I'm punishing myself by living here in the states. I have a paid for house and I eke out a living partly online and partly partime at a newspaper.
It would be a big step though to move across the world though. I'm not ready to give up on my country yet.
But I am tempted.
