Limiting the time a despot rules as such may lessen the tendency toward evil, but why give them that much power in the first place?
The people (if the Bill of Rights means anything) are the judges of fact and law, not someone wearing a black robe on a bench in a corporate office, so...

You are an authority on what someone's job is, while George Mason is wrong because he has a view contrary to your view? The job of the Summary Justice National Court Judges is to afford the powerful the means to gain more power at the expense of anyone who can still produce anything worth stealing on the path into absolute despotism: Subsidized Slavery.
If you want to keep your opinion, about the purpose of the Supreme Court (what the job is), then that is fine by me. I prefer to look into the facts that matter in the case.
@Josf-Kelley This is what Supreme Court justices are there for As the final arbiter of the law, the Court is charged with ensuring the American people the promise of equal justice under law and, thereby, also functions as guardian and interpreter of the Constitution
