I have seen quite a bit posted about the events transpiring in Virginia where the governor is supposed to sing into effect a broad sweeping law that will basically outlaw any means of the citizens of that state from self defense. Yes that is a bit over generalized, so what?

But let's say, for the sake of my rant here, that the governor and his socialist buddies come out saying they are willing to make a compromise with the public. Instead of signing into law this broad sweeping agenda he had planned on he signs into a simple law that he promises will lead to a far safer public. The new law he immediately signs, and goes into effect as of yesterday is very simple. Citizens have to turn in all weapons with a detachable magazine. This will keep the bad guys from having weapons they can equip with large capacity magazines that would allow them to dispense a large number of bullets before having to reload. This way something like what happened in the gay club in Florida could not possibly ever happen in Virginia. Someone wants to shoot up a gay club in his state they could have, at best five rounds to fire off before having to stop and reload.

Now let's say thousands of citizens who the government knows has weapons that are supposed to be turned in refuse to follow the new law, so the governor lives up to his promise of sending U. S. military troops to enforce this law, and confiscate weapons. Anyone resisting will, at the very least be arrested, and at the worst be shot. But the people of Virginia, as they have done so in the past with the British, and with the tyrannical regime of Abraham Lincoln choose to die on their feet as free men rather than live on their knees as slaves. So fighting erupts in the state of Virginia between citizens and federal troops over un-Constitutional laws.

My question is, what do you think members of the republican party will have to say? Will they cheer on the citizens, adn begin every effort they can to help defend the citizens and their God given right to the tools of self defense as they were guaranteed in our Constitution? Or will they turn tail and run? Will republican advise the citizens to stand down, follow the law as all good citizens do because their defending their Constitutional rights is nothing but vigilantism run amok? And if they are good little citizens who obey the law, turn in their weapons to the government republicans promise that is those good citizens vote for them in future elections they will revoke these laws those bad socialist passed? Do you honestly believe the sitting republican president will step up, and order the federal troops to stand down, which he would have th authority to do as commander in chief, or will he insist citizens be good people and follow the law, and if they vote for him he will make sure those criminal socialists go to prison like he promised Hillary would?

Personally I think the GOP will ask everyone to stand down, et the law stand "for the moment" then do NOTHING to end the abuse of government power. THey have as much to gain by stealing our liberty as the democrats do, they know it, and they actively work to accomplish the same goals.
