It is with great joy that the voice of the many has proved that the few do not have the majority say in great matters of governmental control. This will be a recurring theme throughout western civilisation as the impetus of the far left has overstepped it's minority reach and is consistently out of touch with the majority of national citizens. The woke generation has over played their hand and it has been rejected by the masses. The same theme is tortuously playing out in the US with the insufferable democrats desperately attempting to defy the will of the many for the benefit of the minority. This narrative is consistent in western nations with the left leaning few clamoring to destabilise thier nations they are tasked with governing by undermining national security, immigrating hordes of useless uneducated unskilled unworthy so called migrants that want nothing more than to flounder in the social security systems that they defraud. Globalisation of the west is more and more being rejected by the awaking of the working class to the destruction of national identities that attempt to enshrine a one world one government one currency one world military/police one overarching group of global elites. Brexit is the begining of the end of the corrupt EU and it'd counterparts.

The anti democratic stance, rhetoric and ploys of the left have failed to prevent a landslide victory for common sense in the UK (although perhaps not entirely with the anti English/ pro EU SNP holding sway In Scotland). The EU’s dirty tricks and attempted interference in the UK election just shows how desperate the EU fundamentalist bureaucrats are becoming because of Brexit and in the face of growing agitation in the EU countries particularly in the eastern countries.
Resistance to apparent attempts to effectively wipe out Western culture and National identity and replace it with some universal left wing ideology, is only likely to grow. Add to this Trumps success ind the USA ( which is not likely to be damaged by the pointless impeachment proceedings) and the tide appears to be on the turn.

Globalism is centrist. Actual leftists, people like Chomsky, don't like it any more than white nationalists do.
And yes, it is undemocratic. It takes power out of the hands of voters and government and into the hands of private capital.
