There is no such thing as, "Nobody could ever be dumber than that!" If you think that to yourself along comes a democrat, quite often either female, or a minority, oft times both, who will prove that yes, someone can be dumber. (If feminists really wanted to be taken more seriously not only would they find better spokepeople than Madonna, and that crap actress, but they would elect much more intelligent women to office. )
Sheila Jackson Lee (Why haven't the dems forced her to change her last two names already!? Those are names of honorable generals of the Confederate Army) must have some kind of personal goal to see how stupid she can be in full on view of the public, adn news agency cameras before her own voters say something. Or she could really be as stupid as a she makes herself appear.
Remember a few years back the fruitcake liberal reporter claimed he suffered PTSD from firing 4 or 5 rounds from an AR-15? Personally I think this is even more ridiculously stupid, and ignorant that that episode.
First Sheila claims the rifle is "...as heavy as 10 boxes that you might be moving...". Poor idiot Sheila. And what might be in those ten boxes? Air? Books? Origami cranes? How big might those boxes be? See, these details will have a whole lot to do with how much the collective weight of those ten boxes you might be moving weigh. Who talks like that? "...as heavy as ten boxes you MIGHT be moving..."?
Never fear though. Sheila will always something in the next sentence or two that will take some of the focus off the last incredibly weird, and stupid thing she said. She then freaks out about all the danger the 50 caliber bullet an AR-15 fires will do, and insists we must...hold on to your seat folks...she thinks we must LICENSE those bulets and keep them off the street. When was the last time you heard about someone gunning down anyone with a 50 caliber round? Much less one fired from an AR-15. And you know when Sheila says the name of the rifle in her head she hear, "An Assault Rifle 15".
This article has a photo of Gabby Giffords standing with her arm around Sheila's shoulder, and an seriously stupid grin on her face. I think Gabby is both totally happy, and thoroughly amazed she found someone who makes her look smart.
