I am not surprised by the findings at all - but I am a bit surprised that someone from Hollywood took the initiative to delve into the case this many years later and then produce the facts of the hoax. Also Not surprised by the fact that the prosecutors perpetrated that hoax.
I am a bit taken aback by the writer/film producers apparent and impulsive need to defend Trayvon Martin as a basically good kid who was "acting out on bad stuff happening in his life".
The kinds of trouble and the behaviors of Trayvon Martin are NOT excusable and in my opinion are NOT unusual behaviors for American Black males to exhibit.
Heavy use of weed, guns, theft, fighting, burglary all packaged neatly in an explicit anti-White - racist attitude.
All of these behaviors and attitudes are quite normal and customary behaviors among the Black male population. I submit that it is Black American Culture itself that made Trayvon Martin into the young thug that he was. The timeliness and manner of his death could never be seen as surprising or unexpected. Sure, Trayvon Martin was a "good" black kid - considering he absorbed all too well the ideas and the behaviors that are implicit in the culture of Black America.

There should be a number of people disbarred and prosecuted from that office. I hope someone looks at this again, but the left enjoys riots and deaths in black communities around the country.

Say what? Your perception of his character is irrelevant. He was just a kid, existing while black in his relatives' neighborhood when he was hunted down by a dimwitted vigilante in a state that encourages such behavior. Where's the hoax?

Go watch the video Ricky - it isn't very long and you might be surprised to know that the documentary does NOT impugn the character of Trayvon Martin...quite the opposite in fact. The hoax involves the prosecution team and the FACT that there was a serious and deliberate perjury committed and that the prosecution team "suborned" that perjury...the shame, the hoax was perpetrated by the lawyers...not Trayvon and not Zimmerman.

that is my personal opinion not so much of Trayvon himself but of Black American Culture itself. I believe the untimely deaths, the high rate of police encounters, the high rate of imprisonment, the high rate of single parenthood, the rampant gang related violence that characterize the lives of the Trayvons are a direct result of a culture that teaches their children from infancy to hate and to distrust Whites, Authorities, to dismiss the value of completing High School at the very least. This is both implicit and explicitly taught in Black American Culture. It is tragic to note that the ones who finish high school, go on to achieve College careers, find good employment and generally mainstream themselves are the outliers - the Black Swans in a manner of speaking...they are in the minority regarding achievement and long life.
I believe Trayvon was a "good boy" who learned those lessons all too well - and like so many other young Black males he paid for it with his life.
I have said all along that both Trayvon and Zimmerman were out that night looking for trouble and I am glad that they only found each other and that nobody else got shot or injured...

afraid to watch the video Ricky? forget my stated opinions on what got Trayvon killed. It really has nothing to do with the point of the documentary on the subject...go watch the video...or barring that go look up the documentary on another web site...the creator is a guy by the name of Joel Gilbert. No doubt his documentary will garner some attention by people from both sides of the sociopolitical spectrum...go look it up.
