I've observed that actors and actresses tend to turn to activism as their acting careers dry up. Besides the dopamine rush induced by activist action, I suspect that this species of meta-political signaling conforms well to their personality types and talents. A life of performative outrage awaits the actor-turned-activist.

Like it or not celebrities do command much influence - I dare say the Kardashians and the Rosie O'Donnells of the world influence a lot more minds than does any politician.
We can not afford to ignore the endless deluge of anti-american babble that comes from Hollywood. It must not go unchallenged else we cede the minds of impressionable young people.
