A recent thread here "Lesson from History: Transgender Mania is Sign of Cultural Collapse - Camille Paglia - YouTube" brings to mind how quickly ideas in the culture wars develop and become part of the conversation—some very troubling ideas that suddenly become mainstream.
One of these is the “transgendering” of young children and even older minors by parents influenced by leftist thought (my conclusion).
As rapidly as this particular abominable practice seems to have become, I believe discussion of it as in the thread referenced should be elevated.
As much as I do not like new prohibitive laws, I would solidly support one that prohibits transgendering of anyone not of legal age either surgically or chemically.
I believe this would serve to differentiate the left and the right in the coming election in a way that protects vulnerable children from having their lives very potentially ruined while not outrightly rejecting the right for an adult to ruin their life when they become of age.
(As an aside, I’d encourage those who have 80 minutes to watch the extended video of Camille Paglia’s talk on this and other sexuality issues linked further into the thread to do so).
