Vid not available here, but medical assistance in dying has merit if the patient has no hope, as verified by more than one specialist/medical persons, the patient is in constant agony with no hope of improving quality of life, even for a short time. I believe the patient has every right to ask to be put out of their misery.

It's where it's leading in Canada.
I think they used to remove life support, and definitely as long as that person isn't coerced, even subtly, the person can request an end.
With counseling.
