yup. like seriously I’m pretty sure the inly reason so many liberals jumped onto the series is because of magic and the Christian-Right was so adamantly apposed to
it that they didn’t stop to realize the book is way more in line with Conservatism than they give it credit for. and even some of the things the Left really loves about the series (i.e gay Dembledore) came after the series was done and could have just as easily been a pandering tactic to get more fans. there was very little LGBTQ elements to the series beforehand it was only after the fan base happened to include so many people who were apart of that group because the book was anout outsiders and values the Left and Right can generally agree on like love and friendship
