Why is it sad, think about who demonized Putin in the first place? He is the resident boogy man of the western nations because he cannot be controlled and is not an ideologue, so whatever comes out of those sources should be taken with a bucket of salt. For quite a while now, Putin was the guy that was not an ideologe, but a pragmatic patriot trained in KGB ways to try to keep Russia after the fall of USSR stable. No easy task. To judge him on western terms is problematic since it lacks understanding of Russian's geopolitics. And that is the reason why in their arrogance Russia's Putin can stand on moral high ground and watch west burn from afar and not really do anything other than to warn the west.

Put it this way. The likes of Jeffrey Dahmer, Ted Bundy, Adolf Hitler and Josef Goebles have all uttered factually true observations at various times in their lives - but the fact does not absolve them of their own sins. right?

By the way, how much you really know about Russia and its history and culture? I find it difficult to find Americans who understand world not from American centric perspective and so they virtually never understand a country like Russia.

Well I guess its not a coincidence since a young country like America has enjoyed property for very long time nothing compared to what Russia or China or Europe has been trough in terms of wars and regimes.

Well, looking at America now, everyone can see that chickens are coming home to roost. If America as United States survives the upcoming sociopolitical and economic hardships and stays united it might actually start to appreciate what others have gone trough and why judging other countries from American perspective is a problem.

Lest continue this conversation in about 100 years from now. Who knows, you might have a different perspective.

Considering all the killing CIA has been doing in the name "democracy" with the approval and quite a few American presidents, and what is doing to US citizens at the moment, I think guy like Putin would be someone America could use before its too late. If Trump had the political savvy and power of Putin he might have done more, as is, he was made impotent and I don't see many others who can stand up to the globalist machine in America. DeSantis is only one doing good job in Florida , but can he survive in D.C. ? I don't know.

When things go really dark in USA and they will, you might change your opinion on guys like Putin. And you might not compare him to Ted Bundy and Jeffrey Dahmer. That was a really bad comparison, by the way.

@Krunoslav your observations and opinions about the sins of CIA, USA ...etc are valid - I feel no compulsion to argue against them. But you seem to be making a weak argument when your defense is to point to something of little or no relationship to the subject in this thread. Sort of like a relative of ...oh I don't know...lets say Jeffrey Dahmer defending him by saying "...yeah but look at John Wayne Gacey...he was much worse than my cousin Jeffrey Dahmer...
The thing is that pointing out the fact there are others who "have done it too" or "are worse than the subject in hand does not adequately defend the actions of the subject himself.
