I don't think anyone voted for Biden because they were excited to have him as President. They thought he was a milquetoast, do-nothing, calm counterpoint to President Trump.
What they didn't count on was the people controlling Joe Biden using him to push a radical agenda that doesn't care in the slightest about him being re-elected in 2024, or even finishing out his term. Politically, he is a dead man walking, and they are absolutely using him to best effect, knowing that no one will remove him.
