I made a public timeline where you can add government impositions and restrictions, thought it would be very interesting so we can see the toll of what's going on over time, hopefully to combat the boiling frog effect a little. Please add to it.

Bear arms
Own land
Freedom of association (and freedom of disassociation from jerks)
The Founding Fathers should also have included in the Bill of Rights:
Gasoline
Satellite phone and a satellite communications network
Own currency that is not controlled by the government
Access to common carriers
Meat
Private school
Nuclear power
Windows
Incandescent light bulbs
Statues
High-pressure shower heads
Plastic straws
Parties (now outlawed as superspreaders)
Church (Government is harassing pastors for holding church gatherings)
Medical care (denied to the unvaxxed)
Who knew that an American government would emerge that doesn't want us to have gasoline? In 1950, that platform would have gotten 0 votes.

Gingrich wrote 3 historical fiction novels about the Revolutionary War. In the novels, Paine accompanied Washington with the army and suffered with the army. Then Washington ordered Paine to go to Philadelphia and write inspiring pamphlets. Upon arriving in Philadelphia, Doctor Benjamin Rush (friend of Franklin) gave Paine a room in his house so he could write. Rush fixed Paine up and brought him back to health after the rigors of the army.
Paine was poor, but because he was a celebrity, people bought him food and beer wherever he went.
@jaymaron He was in a high-profile government job. No offense, but Americans have a really high-standard concept of what a poor person is. If you can go through the month without missing a meal due to the lack of money (as in, you couldn't have possibly saved in any way by not spending in something else, at all, and still couldn't afford a meal,) that's poor. Well, that's how I define it. Not being able to afford lobster because you just made.a payment of millions over your 4th yacht doesn't count.

Need to add "New World Order" attempts towards global hegemony, beginning with Woodrow Wilson's League of Nations attempts, through est of United Nations, mentions by Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Bush, Obama (interestingly never Trump!) and Biden, est of United Nation, WEF and WHO.
