A school district opted out of a free meals program, saying students could ‘become spoiled’, its true would not want them to get use to eating. The world has lost it's heart, we simply must care for one another, we must care for the children. Food should not be a luxury by which one can be spoiled. It is indeed an investment in our future as a whole, no less than these children. Billions of money can be saved in future heath care cost, by providing for the basic needs of children now.

Their parents are under the impression the kids are eating a hot meal at school. Of course pizza day is an exception.
Free meals are all hype, the only winners are those who prepare them coz they have a good district paying job. Dumping food is not their problem, Their job is to make sure the count is right, and it matches the attendance sheet of those who are enrolled in the lunch program.

the cafeteria should not have a vending machine or pepsi soda machines there either, they did that at my old high school
not sure a minimum wage job is a good district paying job, but that may vary from district to district
the dumping food when I was in grade school was cubes or diced beets, most kids did not eat them
there use to be gravy potato dish like au gratin sort of ~ we were never sure ~ but we played a game and the loser had to eat it
Opting out may be a real good thing, especially if you are trying to get away from industrial food management services like Aramark & who knows how many others
Stop lookin to the education system as being guardians over your children...they're your children, not theirs. Take control over your kid's school boards, with the rest of the parents so that the parents are making these decisions

Well said there sir. I think that it is more like babysitting them. I was glad to see the vids on people standing up to the CRT & other liberal indoctrination at their local school board meetings. That has been going on for years though (the liberal indoctrination).
Personally I home schooled. Better quality and control, not to mention the time spent riding the bus there and back. My kids got a full day in of school for all the time other kids spent on the bus all week long.
The lockdown opened the eyes of local parents here, especially when it came to fundamental math vs Common Core guesswork projection and problem solving. Lot of people asked me questions about to begin or where to start with home schooling, because they cared and realized what was happening.
When the slander was 'well your kids aren't getting socialized' ~ well there's the doublespeak right there. Socialized. My kids are well behaved and respectful, those public educated brats were future doing life in jail on the installment plan with valedictorians getting life.
They don't care. They too are part of the Eugenics program. Stupid selfish people think they are exempt from the extermination plans.
Can't read the article without subscribing to it. Sucks. My comment above was more general in that more and more we are seeing a complete lack of interest in the care of others that normal people exhibit.
