Cancel culture is about destroying people who's politics you disagree with. Boycotting entertainment or companies that are forcing their politics onto the consumer through their product or service is something else entirely.
@RaithRoguestar so Trump disagreeing with Kaepernick and therefore saying "Get that son of a bitch off the field right now. Out. He's fired. He's fired" isn't cancel culture?
No, not at all.Trump has nothing to do with it. Kapperjerk has every right to whatever opinion he has but when he puts on his jersey and is representing his employer he is no longer on his time, it is my time and my dollar that ultimately pays for his time, and I'm not paying to see activism. So if his employer doesnt put a stop to it I have every right to no longer support his business and I can be activist and tell everyone I know about my dissatisfaction with the service provided.
If he wants to protest in the streets and be a Black Lies Matter activist on his own time more power to him.
Look at it this way. If the cashier at the grocery store criticized you for not buying environmentally friendly product and lectured you on climate change, she should be reprimanded or fired. If the bagger loading your stuff into your vehicle starts telling you how your going to hell without Jesus he should be reprimanded or fired. WHY? Because you are paying their employer to provide you a product and a service. So ring up groceries, load up my shit, play some good football, and shut the fuck up.
