"Both sides" are being played to endorse authoritarianism.
Just as the Deep State propped up terrorist organizations in the Middle East to gain popular support for expanding mass surveillance and the military industrial complex, we are seeing them prop up Antifa to get people who are otherwise opposed to the state to defend the state (e.g. "back the blue", "blue lives matter", etc), despite rampant corruption. Antifa isn't necessarily a "boogeyman", since they are actually creating the chaos necessary to open the door for authoritarianism. The deep state is playing people on all sides after having mastered the strategies abroad.
People who ardently defend the police dismiss the rampant corruption as "just a few bad apples" or "the lesser of two evils". Disclaimer: I acknowledge the existence of police is necessary for a civil society, but our modern police have gone way beyond their intended role and are massively corrupt, endorsing and legitimizing the NSA's mass surveillance through contracts with them, etc. We have been conditioned for this "lesser of two evils" mindset so that the state can control the masses. The two party system guaranteed by the structure of our electoral process (Duverger's Law, video in my bio) has brought about tribalism to keep the masses angry at one another so that we don't band together against a tyrannical establishment. It also serves to garner support for the state from "one side or the other" merely due to one tribe opposing the other. Disclaimer: this "one side or the other" is a false dichotomy. "Either you support the police or you support the rioters." "Either you support BLM (which started as a legitimate call for more police accountability but has been compromised by Marxists with actors within the state) or you're a white supremacist on the side of the cops." Both are different parts of the state's strategy to push toward authoritarianism. The state always comes out on top through support from "both sides" of a false dichotomy which they created.
Look at all the separate pieces together: an endless push for more restrictions on guns at the same time as the expansion of mass domestic surveillance. We are marching toward authoritarianism.
Use a search engine such as Duckduckgo to look into Dishfire (more than 1 billion cell tower connection/geolocation records collected daily), Room 641A (every piece of data to or from all AT&T customers being sent through a fiber optic cable splitter with a copy of everything going straight to the NSA), XKEYSCORE, PRISM, and Stingray/parallel construction. Racism was fading and the internet, started and controlled by U.S. Government, does track and record everything. The idea of divide and conquer is a battle plan used by most governments. Doing without permission causes civil war. Now, the government using NSA and division is acquiring permission and leading citizens to allow a police state. Education is controlled by the elites and designed to manipulate attitudes to allow restrictions and domination of civilians. Elections are controlled so the options are pick the better of two evils allowing control. But we still have and must always have the 2A.

Thank you. The state has bypassed the restrictions placed on it by the 1st amendment through social conditioning. The big tech elites are in bed with the government and have been found to be censoring anti-establishment sentiments. At the same time, the users willingly forfeit their privacy not knowing that everything they put online (both in public posts and private messages) gets stored for future use in case someone is to get too vocal against the establishment.
As a side note, why do you think billions of tax dollars go into NFL stadiums? It's the modern "bread and circuses" (panem et circenses) and it serves to further the tribalistic mindset. Sports aren't inherently bad, but they are being exploited.
@DuvergersTrap , the 'elites' buy into support of lawmakers for the advantage of favors. The Roman government knew to appease the citizens to calm retaliation, so the government supports stadiums for the distraction of tribalism, the divide and conquer with controllable turmoil. They start the habit with PE classes in school. The government started the internet to use for transferring and gathering information, although our Republic can not legally own a business, but can and does control all communication systems, so the designated owners do comply.
@MilesPurdue I just read about In-Q-Tel, the venture capital arm of the CIA, being one of the initial investors in Google and how Google Maps was originally Keyhole, Inc - a CIA funded satellite mapping software company. Facebook started the same day that the CIA program "Life Log" was terminated. Facebook owns Instagram and WhatsApp. They see the vast majority of social communications worldwide. Microsoft cooperates with the NSA too. They own the messaging app GroupMe. Google recently bought Fitbit and is buying 6.6% stake in the home security company ADT. This is truly Stalin's wet dream.
The only reason they've escaped anti-trust laws is because they are the "private sector" arm of the CIA.
