Republican Senators have a way of vanishing in thin air when they are most needed. The Senator cited below and several of the GOP elite have proven once again just how pathetically useless and feckless they are when needed. Senator Lindsey Graham (former McCain piss boy) made a calculated political decision after soundly winning the SC primary on June 9th. With wind in his sails he no longer finds the need to be on his knees under Trump's desk. Or performing hand jobs in the ruff.
Maybe it was the lack of communication between himself, AG Barr and the POTUS regarding the firing of Geoffrey Berman (SDNY). It may have strained relations a bit. In the WaPo article the slant is that Lindsey has found new courage (his voice) and rebuked Trump's call to investigate Obama for acts of treason. Which Obama is clearly guilty of. There is too much hard evidence there to ignore.
Maybe it was Trump's way of outing the little shit heel so that when the time comes (after Trump's reelection) he can settle the score once and for all with the Senator. No more golf outings with the POTUS.
Maybe Graham is popular in SC for the same reason Teddy Kennedy was in Massachusetts. Both states have open primaries which give incumbents a significant advantage. Who can say?
One thing is for sure. The Blue Eyed "Wind sock" of South Carolina is a fraud. Which is typical of most Republicans with the notable exception of Josh Hawley and Tom Cotton. I think a Cotton/Hawley ticket in 2024 might change things. But as long as Graham, McConnell and the sexagenarian GOP contingent remains in power they will hasten the extinction of the Republican Party.

After just recently running ads with Trump in them, and now the sudden flip flop, eyes should be open to his past, as well as that of Barr. Barr has a long history of criminal activities under his belt, and I would wonder if Graham is indicated in some of them.

AG Barr is a pragmatist. And he knows that his power comes from the President that appointed him. Do you honestly believe that AG Holder is choir boy or that Obama is innocent of the crimes that Trump has rightfully accused him of? The recently discovered Strzok minutes (notes) clearly reveal that Obama and Biden were orchestrating the coup directly from the WH. Yet Graham has publicly stated that his committee will not pursue any motions to hold Obama or Biden culpable. I have zero confidence in the GOP. Their top political leadership is dead from the neck up. Trump has endured more defamation than any other GOP President in my life time, if not in history. You or myself can do little but vote. Which I cannot do anymore. The only recourse is to give it all to the Progressive Left and after a few decades of rot and decay those of that knew better will have to shoot their way out of it.
@Marsbonfire Agreed on the analysis of the corruption. What is so dark, and deceptive (aside from the massive money laundering schemes) that they are so willing to destroy a Country over just to keep buried? All eyes should be on RADA and the indictments that are ongoing in the Ukraine right now. The news here about Strozk came a month after it broke there. Anyone bother to question why Poroshenko has been interrogated, and released on bail?
