If you are researched, then it's a conclusion, not an opinion.

You spelled, 'I am' wrong.
Great post about opinions. This has been a problem for awhile.
I think people believe that because someone told them their feelings are valid that this means their opinions are valid and therefore true. This has further been confused with popular phrases such as 'I feel like' replacing what people really mean when they say this which is, "it seems as if."

Poor use of language really is detrimental, and it's all too common.
'Global warming' is a great example of misuse, it makes the subject difficult to discuss, and I'd guess, in many cases, is used disingenuously, because 'global warming' is a provable, and well documented phenomena, which it would be foolish to deny. However, the people who scream about global warming, are actually talking about man's effect on global warming, but they don't want to add that caveat, because it's debatable, and not conclusively proven.
