It was an ill thought out , knee jerk reaction to that picture of a dead baby washed up in the med.
The Muslim people are turning to Christianity not because of evangelism but because the are asking what they believed before Mohammad came along. Arabic people are rediscovering the Aramaic targets that are the first five books of the bible with commentaries by prophets from before Mohammad. There are still Arabic tribes that still follow these teachings to this day. Another thing that most people don’t realize is that the Arabic nations are seeing the largest growth of Christianity in the world at present from believers within the Arabic nations.
