Not so much of a genius as history would lead you to believe. I say this only because he apparently didn’t understand that God can only be murdered and die by and to one individual person at a time – “we” can’t do anything to HIM! Something you’d think that a person of his religious background, son of a Lutheran Pastor, would’ve understood.

He like others, sought to minimize the value of the human sacrifice of GOD and HIS son – as if the blood of GOD’s lamb can’t cover a multitude of sin. If the blood of GOD’s lamb can cover the sin of Peter why would anyone think it wouldn’t cover both yours as well?
