Professor Hanson spoke of “cosmopolitanism’ which peeked my curiosity. A all round terrible cocktail by that name is the first thing that came to mind. It doesn’t take long to realize that ‘cosmopolitanism’ is just an attempt by the same old socialism to appear sophisticated – like the people that drink those syrupy things.

It’s Internationalism as opposed to nationalism as it were. Cosmopolitanism is the long standing dream of International/Global/Universal etc. socialist Communism. As the goal of all socialist endeavors is (steady or resolute) unwavering Communism – Universal Communism. It never ends with these people – if they can actually be called people?

Of course you can shuffle a myriad of words around to try an disguise it, but it’s the same old socialism as its always been. If socialism were so great for the average person like you and I, it wouldn’t need all these many years of deceptive sophistry to try selling it to us.

Capitalism, on the other hand, may be a rough ride, without any SO CALLED free lunches on the way, but what you earn doesn’t get divided with those that’ve chosen not to work. What you’ve earned is your personal property belonging to no one else. Although there are several differences between socialism and capitalism, but the right to own personal property is likely the most distinctive difference – being a slave to the state or the state being your slave. It constantly amazes me how many public servant can’t bring themselves to acknowledge that they work for the individual citizens because they don’t recognize that subtle yet important distinction. Every politician will tell you up front, laud it even, that he wants to work for you the citizen the electorate. But confront a bureaucrat as to who they work for – well they just can’t handle it. And that reminds me, according to Professor Hanson 40% of the American work force works for government i.e. you – and that needs to end. That swamp still isn’t drained as it needs to be – is it?
